Yes. This. Genuinely. People get on Rodgers for not taking pay cuts without actually researching a damn thing. He used to take pay cuts. In fact, for 7 of the 15 seasons him and brady played together, Brady took up more of the Cap than him. But why tf would he keep doing that when the Packers waste it every single damn time and draft nothing to help the offense? Then when they draft defensive players it makes no difference. Imagine expecting a man to keep throwing a way money to an organization that just wastes it. Rodgers was never selfish. He just needed a team that would actually do something with the money.

I love how the narrative is that every time Green Bay came up short IT'S ALL ON RODGERS. I think that's why in 25 years of incredible quarterback play, Green Bay only managed one Super Bowl win with Favre and one with Rodgers. Give that level of play under center to virtually any other team in the league and you'd have a dynasty. But the management and the fans think you just draft a quarterback, then wait. Not even Brady ever managed to win a Super Bowl without a top 6 defense or better. How many of those has Aaron Rodgers had? One? Two? Either way I feel sorry for Jordan Love, and I think I understand why Favre did cartwheels around the league JUST to get in a position to play *against* his former team. They freeze out their players while they're there, and burn their bridges when they leave.

I hope Rodgers works out as well. I'll get greedy and also hope Zach Wilson can successfully understudy him. ZW is a case study of "what not to do with your rookie QB". Like instead of being drafted to a team that was in a position to let him learn from a veteran already there, was made a starter immediately, and then presented with conditions that no rookie QB can possibly withstand: an incompetent OC and an offensive line so injury riddled that even the backups went down, and the Jets wound up fielding players sniped from the Texans' practice squad. If you saw the game where Mike White's ribs were broken, it looks like the center lost track of where the football was and snapped a d-lineman instead. Anyway, does the NFC South currently have a boss dog, or is it kind of up for grabs? I should know this but the football I follow is kind of AFC centric.
