This is the most succinct presentation I've seen on this subject. This is a great video to share with Christians. It should be noted, some Christians try to say the Jew in Zech. 8:23 is JC; however, the words "you" in that verse are plural in Hebrew, so it cannot be referring to an individual.

Thank you so much. Raw Skobac's school: an excellent way of speaking, understandable even to those who do not speak English very well. The basics of Torah, especially important for those who live in a strong Christian environment. Only those who are able to deliver such a lecture themselves do not need to listen to it.

Martin Luther is the “father” of the Protestant movement against Judaism in the 1600’s. Christianity was engineered by Martin Luther to destroy Jews at Jews’ expense. As a former Christian, I am an outcast of Christianity, I noticed, G-d has blessed this young mature gentleman with the truth about the deception of missionary Christianity.. Side note, the current Christian culture is plagued with mistranslations, complacency and lack self awareness and self discipline. Today’s Christian culture is about raising money, false “feel good” teachings and scandals among Christian Church Leadership… May all Jews stay vigilant and disciplined in Torah and Talmud. Amen, Todah HaShem.

I was a Christian believer and for the las 7 years I have been attending a Jew Messhianic congregation. However, I really appreciate your teaching which has Bible support. For the last two years I have been asking myself about Yeshua as the messiah (according the Torah, the prophets, and the complete Bible say), because according to the Torah we were not waiting a divine messiah. In fact, the biggest problem is that worshiping Yeshua is idolatry and is one of the biggest sins in the Torah. Note: Even in the New Testament we do not see that disciples worshiping or praying to Yeshua.

15:00 I've started to read the "New Testament" and this verse caught my eye, within the first page of reading. Your other points may be true enough, but the fact that Joseph came from the house of David, but was not even the flesh father of Jesus, sealed the whole book to me. It begins with "King Solomon fathered" (insert male heir), and HE fathered (insert male heir) that fathered (insert male hair) ... that fathered Joseph of Bethlehem, HUSBAND of Mary (that birthed Jesus...) That was ridiculous from the start, and made me, first of all, laugh, then to decide to close the "New Testament", and call it false before I had the chance or willingness to continue...

This is the "out" that the LORD gives Himself to the house of David (Isa 7:13), a Maidan (virgin) will have a boy without knowing a man. God does miracles (passing Dead Sea). A boy, asking his father, how the Israelites passed the Red Sea. Oh, that water was 20 cm deep. The boy thought a little bit, then answered: than the miracle was even greater. The Egyptian army drowned in 20 cm deep water.

Thank you for this video!! My question is, why do Christian missionaries want SO bad, to try to convince us?? What we believe in (and don’t believe in) doesn’t affect them, so why are they so determined to convert us???
@JewsforJudaismCanada
@JewsforJudaismCanada 6 ай бұрын
Christian Missionaries to the Jews are highly motivated to convert us because of this New Testament verse (commandment): Romans 1:16-17 - “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek [Gentile].” They rationalize that, if Jesus it the Jewish Messiah, then they must tell this news to the "Jew first".

It is idolatry to believe that a man is God or that God is a man. To say that Jesus is God is idolatry of the Greeks and Romans who believed that God can incarnate into a man. Definitely Christians who believe in the trinity and the incarnation of Jesus go to Hell for breaking the 2nd commandment.

Ah nuts I completely missed the Zerubabel one. Someone legitimately tried to pull the "muh Jeconiah curse" to explain why Joseph couldn't be Jesus's father for Jesus to be the Messiah(and somehow the lack of patrilineality that implies is lost to the online preacher). Would have been nice to tell that guy "but Mary is also of Zerubabel's descendants... She has the supposed curse too..."

Will a prophet have to have faith in “the one” in order to pick the messiah, before he is anointed? I know the masses will find out who messiah is upon the moment of anointing. But what about the prophet?
@JewsforJudaismCanada
@JewsforJudaismCanada 7 ай бұрын
The concept of the Messiah has its foundation in our Jewish Bible, the Tanach, which clearly teaches that all of the following six criteria must be fulfilled before any person can be acknowledged as the Messiah: 1. Proper Genealogy: The Messiah must be a member of the tribe of Judah (Genesis 49:10) and a direct descendant of King David & King Solomon (2 Samuel 7:12-14; 1 Chronicles 22:9-10). Genealogy in the Bible is only passed down from father to son (Numbers 1:1-18). There is no evidence that Jesus really had this pedigree, and the Christian Bible actually claims that he did not have a “birth-father” from the tribe of Judah descending from King David and King Solomon (Matt. 1:18-20). 2. Worldwide ingathering of Jewish Exiles: When the Messiah is reigning as King of Israel, the Jews will be ingathered from their exile and will return to Israel, their homeland (Deut. 30:3; Isaiah 11:11-12; Jeremiah 30:3, 32:37; Ezekiel 11:17, 36:24). This has clearly not yet happened and we still await its fulfillment. 3. The Holy Temple in Jerusalem will be rebuilt (Isaiah 2:2-3, 56:6-7, 60:7, 66:20; Ezekiel 37:26-27; Malachi 3:4; Zech. 14:20-21). The Temple was still standing in Jesus’ day. It was destroyed 38 years after Jesus’ crucifixion and it has not yet been rebuilt. 4. Worldwide Reign of Peace: There will be universal disarmament and worldwide peace with a complete end to war (Micah 4:1-4; Hoseah 2:20; Isaiah 2:1-4, 60:18). Wars have increased dramatically in the world since the start of Christianity. 5. Observance of the Torah Embraced by All Jews: The Messiah will reign as King at a time when all the Jewish people will observe G-d’s commandments (Ezekiel 37:24; Deut. 30:8,10; Jeremiah 31:32; Ezekiel 11:19-20, 36:26-27). Jesus never ruled as King, nor have all Jews embraced the commandments of G-d’s Torah. 6. Universal Knowledge of G-d: The Messiah will rule at a time when all the people of the world will come to acknowledge and serve the one true G-d (Zechariah 3:9, 8:23,14:9,16; Isaiah 45:23, 66:23; Jeremiah 31:33; Ezekiel 38:23; Psalm 86:9; Zeph. 3:9). This, as well, has not yet taken place and we await its fulfillment. A Biblical Portrait of the Messiah All of the above criteria for the Messiah are found in numerous places in the Jewish Bible. One good example is in the book of Ezekiel, Chapter 37:24-28: “24 And My servant David will be king over them, and they will all have one shepherd, and they will walk in My ordinances, and keep My statutes, and observe them 25 and they shall live on the land that I gave to Jacob My servant, in which your fathers have lived; and they shall live there, they, and their children, and their children’s children for ever; and My servant David will be their prince for ever. 26 Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it will be an everlasting covenant, which I will give them; and I will multiply them, and will set My sanctuary in their midst forever 27 and My tabernacle shall be with them, and I will be their God and they will be My people. 28 And the nations will know that I am the Lord who sanctifies Israel, when My sanctuary is in their midst forever.” Anyone can claim to be the Messiah or a group of people can claim that someone is the Messiah. However, if that person fails to fulfill all the criteria found in the Jewish Bible, he cannot be the Messiah. According to the Christian scriptures, Jesus seems to have understood this. As he was being crucified by the Romans, he cried out “My G-d, my G-d, why have You forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:46). What is the Christian Rebuttal In order to deal with Jesus’ failure to fulfill the Biblical messianic prophecies, missionaries argue that their Messiah will accomplish them when he returns in the future. It’s important to understand that this “second coming” doctrine is an admission that Jesus didn’t fulfill the Messianic criteria the first time around. This rationalization for his failure certainly provides no reason to accept him as the Messiah today. Furthermore, the Jewish Bible does not have a Messianic “instalment plan” where Messiah comes, fails in his mission, and then returns thousands of years later to finally succeed. Missionaries will claim that because Jesus performed miracles, he must be the Messiah. However, we have no real evidence that Jesus actually performed any miracles. More significantly, even if Jesus did perform miracles, they would not prove that he was the Messiah. Our Bible never says that we will be able to recognize the Messiah through the miracles that he will do. The Torah actually teaches that even false prophets can have the ability to perform supernatural miracles (Deut. 13:2-6). The Real Messiah We Jews prefer to wait for the “real thing” according to G-d’s promises and guidelines. The Jewish Bible provides a clear and consistent description of what the world will look like when the Messiah comes and this has clearly not yet transpired. So, we still await the coming of the true Messiah. May he and a utopian world come soon!

Some interesting takes in here. I guess i agree with a lot of it, but this whole god of mercy and love thing missed the mark entirely. He is a lot of things, but merciful and loving don't make the list. God of wrath and genocide would be more appropriate. As for the young man who presented this talk, very well done. It was articulate, well pased, and captivating. You could have a very bright future in politics with the way you carry yourself.

Indeed, God is referred to in the Bible as both vengeful and merciful. See, for example, Numbers 25:11 (vengeance) and Exodus 6:2 (mercy).
@saschamilenkovic4320
@saschamilenkovic4320 7 ай бұрын
I agree with pretty much everything Ari is saying here and it is presented very clearly. But in the 22nd minute of this talk he says that the New Testament was written by 'Christian Missionaries'. This might merit a more detailed explanation as it seems that at least parts of it were written by Jews (who arguably had converted to Christianity, Joel Baden of Yale Divinity school talks about this in some of his talks) and not in Hebrew like the Tanakh but in Greek instead. So effectively Jews continuing to write the bible, but this time for a wider audience: gentiles and effectively for the rest of the world. Now the question is: who were those breakaway mavericks and what were their motivations? The influence of Greco/Roman Hellenistic culture is clearly visible throughout their work. But I would of course agree that the NT is not a valid extension and continuation of Tanakh. The two books don't really go together and anyone who studies them (especially Tanakh) will see that.

question: Cyrus was surely God's anointed (appointed to help Israel build the temple).. but there is NO biblical evidence that Cyrus ever received the physical 'anointing' with oil. So does that mean one can be anointed of Hashem, yet never receive a literal anointing?
@JewsforJudaismCanada
@JewsforJudaismCanada 7 ай бұрын
Technically, the term “mashiach” (anointed) refers to people who were initiated into the service of God by being anointed with oil. However, there are times when the word “anointed” is used in a borrowed sense to refer to anyone designated for an important role. For example, Psalm 105:15, “do not afflict My anointed ones” refers to the Patriarchs who were not literally anointed with oil. So too, Cyrus, who played a vital role in relation to Israel, is also referred to as God’s anointed one, even though he was not literally anointed with oil.

Does not matter where jc claimed he came from the point is he did not complete any of the major prophecies. Performing miracles and healing is not a sign of the anointed king. God said false prophets can also perform those things. I do not know why christians cannot grasp the fact that jesus failed the job. Failure means he is not the king. He did not even have an army behind him like a king has which guess what makes him no king.

What is blasphemy is worshipping a man as god. I will call you out for your sin for god said we are to point out your errors. Another error is believing people that has been speaking their language for 3,000 yrs and to claim they are ignorant to their own language makes you ignorant not them. They have been speaking it for 3,000 years. Why would the holy people lie about god and his nature when it is written in front of you and you fail to read it at all. Christians always claimed they read the old testament but in reality you have not read it you just repeat what the pastors preach at church. I used to be a christian so yes what i said is true. If you actually read it you would be following the holy peoples foot steps by rejecting jesus. But you dont cause your new testament teaches you to hate the jew and it claims they worship satan. 🙄
