A Journey in INDIA's 1st RRTS : Namo Bharat

India's 1st RRTS was flagged off between Shahibabad & Modinagar North a few months back. Alstom's Made in India rakes are used for this elevated corridor which has a maximum permissible speed of 160kmph. The full route is from Delhi to Meerut and it hopes to cover the full distance within an hour.
It is the first of the four rapid rail corridors planned under the first phase of the RapidX project managed by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC).
For now, the section between Sahibabad & Modinagar is operational with 15 min frequency between trains. Here's a glimpse into India's future, a glance at new India's transport system.
