If there is a new parallel universe “created” for every decision you make, then that means you only get to make one real decision. Every choice you thought you made before that was pre-determined by a similar but different person.

I don't understand it that way.... I see it as like a tree. You yourself (physically) is the trunk. As you go through life and make huge "life changing" decisions will create the main branches. Those branches from the mains to the end of a twig is what creates other universes. You yourself is still the tree trunk from ground to sky. However. Were we currently created by another's choice? Do I exist because (my parallel universe self) decided to not eat pizza? What we find joy or hate in was created by the opposite?

Guys this is going to be deep but read this: If every decision we make creates a new universe in the multiverse, then what counts as a decision? Can animals have decision, can plants or even not-alive things? If only our (human) decisions made universes then we must live in a simulation, because we are the one chosen species, but at what point did we become humans and not monkeys? Okay lets say this last one was not true, and every ALIVE thing can create alternate universes with their decisions, then what's the point of them? If we maybe die, we could "load our last savefile of the simulation" and start again without dying? But then there must be some kind of higher form of existence after death, where we can still choose between the alternate universes (but animals couldn't?). But lets say if there were no alive beings in this universe then there were no "Random" events, like a decision (which could also not be random but i wont go into Determinism now) then there must be only ONE and not more ways that the things in the universe happen, no random events, just an exact linear timeline, where every time we would start over the same thing would happen. That way there would be no need for alternate universes and they would not be created (if they are created the previously explained way). I am probably late for the video and most likely nobody will read this. But if you do then have an amazing day and what do you guys think about this topic? :D

I would argue that if determinism over free will prevails then the timeline would be linear every time and that there wouldn’t be a multiverse for every action due to it being caused by external influences. As a result everything has already been put into moment the Big Bang happened. Multiverses would only happen as a result of quantum randomness causing random variations in the world that we live in creating external influences to guide the universe down a different linear path.

We are living in a multiverse all day, everyday, forever. Always have, always will be. There's endless possibilities. A particle is only in a certain state when being observed. That means, all particles, everywhere, can and will change and alternate, move and morph. What we see in the now, is one universe. What we see in another moment, is another. Every time you blink is a completely new universe. Every day is a new one. There's a constant stream of new universes. All the time.

The multiverse theory is... odd. Parallel universes are also odd. Parallel means side by side and having the same distance continuously between them. This means each parallel universe should be the same, with slight changes. We know that already. What we don't know is how these universes are parallel. When you look in the mirror, there is a very slight delay. When applying lipstick in the mirror, there is a very small delay. If two parallel universes 'mirror' each other, how long is the delay between them? If one action has 10 consequences, *when* in other universes will the action occur leading to another action? This is where I believe the butterfly effect comes in. If each action is a consequence, doesn't that mean in most parallel universes, things *aren't* the same? So these universes truly parallel? Or are they like perpendicular lines? Separate and unique, but events sometimes line up. Dimensions also play a part in this. How many dimensions exist in these parallel universes? If we can't have knots in more than four dimensions, what about 'knots' in time? The most important factor to consider when thinking about the multiverse theory is religion. If none of the holy books mention the multiverse theory, does that mean it doesn't exist or that there are parallel Gods? And what about polytheistic religions? How do you break that down? How can a being who supposedly created everything, exist somewhere else and destroy everything, or create a different everything, or create nothing? How, What, WHY?
@gitismita4184 жыл бұрын
@Sara - I think with the questions u raised we can somehow and somewhat make sense of Deja Vu.

What do the holy books have to do with parallel universes? Not to deny the existence of a "God" (or even multiple Deities), but manmade books of ancient times really... don't have anything to do with these theories. Try to teach people from 1000BC about cosmic background radiation and quantum physics.

I thought Hinduism mention a concept of a multiverse.
@azrael44574 жыл бұрын
"How can a being who supposedly created everything exist somewhere else....." You can consider God as an overseer. He only watches and doesn't interfere. That's why in Parallel Universes, we often see a few things change, change that is mostly made by inferior beings like us. In simple terms, it's Cause and Effect. Be it time, location, that doesn't matter to him, and he isn't affected by all that. Anything and everything is within his line of vision. So even if a parallel universe exist, that doesn't affect him at all-he's still the same him. Think of him as like a game developer. A game developer creates everything accessible within the game-from events to the world itself. After he's finished with the game, the only thing left for him to do is to see the results. The 'parallel universes' are the drafts that the game developer chose to scrap.

The choice doesn't CREATE the parallel universe... the parallel already exists. The choice is simply which universe to OBSERVE. Like atoms are connected to makeup molecules which are connected to makeup cells, organs, organisms, ecosystems... the scale goes up infinitely well beyond whole communities of bodies of multiverses which are all connected and existing simultaneously. Each universe is both a whole and a fraction of reality. Everything that has ever and will ever happen in THIS universe adds up to 1 complete universe, 1 whole. And all of it has been whole all along... we use TIME and SPACE to mark what fraction of this whole we observe/sre observing at any given point. At the same time, this whole universe is only an infinitely minute and relatively insignificant fraction of all possibilities. Every event accounted for has an alternative possibility, and every possibility is accounted for by the existence of another universe where that possibility is reality. The universes are arranged into layers and stacked where reality is mostly unchanged from one universe to another and one layer to the next. Perhaps with a single insignificant alternative possibility realized from one universe to the next, these layers are made up of other similarly connected universes which have virtually imperceptible differences one to the next. This brings us to reality and consciousness. Where every possibility is accounted for and all exist simultaneously in different universes, counsciousness is limited so that we only perceive 1 track through the multiverse. Yet consciousness is also similarly connected so that just as many universes makeup 1 multiverse and many multiverses makeup all reality, so there are many consciousnesses that makeup consciousness. And collectively all consciousness perceives all possibilities. As consious beings we are very insignificant fractions of the whole reality and our perception of reality is limited by our choices of when and where we observe.

Im no expert but the way multiverse is described here doesnt make sense to me because what it implies is that every time multiverse is created the laws of physics are broken. The position of every atom, the state of universe at any given moment is a consequence of many events that took place prior happening under the laws of physics as well as your life and your desicions. Youcant just be in the same situation in the universe where literally every particle is at the same place including inside your brain, and somehow make a different desicion unless there is some intervention or fundamental laws are different

Couldn’t each universe be in a black hole and the Big Bang was the creation of a black hole that that took this “universe” to here but it was actually just a part of the “absolute zero of nothingness”

We know very well what black holes “are” and according to our current understanding of physics, no such reality in which a separate universe is created/exists is possible inside of a black hole. in the simplest explanation possible, a “black hole” is a super condensed singularity that bends spacetime back in on itself in a way that not even photons can escape, because “reality” itself has folded in such a way that once you pass the event horizon every single direction you head in is towards the singularity, even if you flip a perfect 180 degrees and go back the way you came. Although we may not know for certain what lies beyond the event horizon, we know that because of how it interacts with the space around it that any and all matter/waves contained within it will eventually, inevitably be condensed into the singularity. The only “absolute zero of nothingness” was before the Big Bang, in which space time itself was created. The universes “expansion” isnt expanding into something else, it is LITERALLY the expansion of reality itself. No “time” existed previously, as this was created in relation to how light itself (photons) was created during inflation. Even in the largest supervoids ever detected they are FULL of quantum fluctuations, electromagnetic waves and all sorts of fun stuff that isn’t “matter”

ozone we will never know what’s beyond the event horizon of a black whole. Although unlikely, it might be a passage to other universes or regions of our own like a worm hole. White holes are also a possibility so black wholes might be just one side of the portal.

When you talked about our hubble sphere and that light could have traveled a total of 14 billion light years since the big bang, I think you shouldn't have skipped the expanding part because thats the reason our hubble sphere is over 90 billion light years in diamater so it could be confusing for someone that later sees our observable universe diamater as 93 billion light years and not 14.

Maybe you're not meant to, otherwise they wouldn't just be a "crush". The one you're meant to marry should be the love of your life, and your soulmate, if you believe in soulmates.
