"In this deeply personal video, I take you on an emotional journey through the story of our family's cherished home in Yoshkar-Ola. Built with love and care by my father in the '90s, this house witnessed countless joyful gatherings, the blossoming of apple and pear trees in spring, and the bittersweet passage of time. After my mother's passing, our connection with this home was forever changed. Join me as I reflect on the memories of a place that will always hold a special place in our hearts, even though it now belongs to another family. This video captures the essence of nostalgia, the beauty of family bonds, and the inevitable changes that life brings.
Watch to reminisce about your own cherished family home and the memories it holds.

Thank you for uploading this video. Really interesting and thought provoking. First your dad had industry with purpose. The purpose gets missed sometimes. Personally I found the video melancholic. Everyone as you described has a significant home alas sometimes not filled with happiness. The old phrase You never know what goes on behind closed doors. It's fantastic that the trees planted were from the village. A really nice idea and with luck that story can stay with the family for a long time. Even after your grandchildren are gone. I watched a few times. One with my wife. It moves along fairly fast. Can I ask did you all live in a flat and treated it like a datcha until what time? It's a pity russian people don't use laurel or beech hedges.

I've lived in an apartment for most of my life and have only spent up to a year at a time in this house, though I often spent weekends here. After I moved to another city, my parents lived in this house, and I visited them periodically. Now, I live more than 2,000 kilometers away in a different city, with a completely different climate and lifestyle. I currently live in an apartment right in the city center, which I find very convenient because I can get around with my children without needing a car. Unfortunately, Russia's climate doesn't allow for the growth of laurel and beech trees everywhere, but the city where I live now is fortunate. It's not uncommon to see laurel hedges, and the city itself is surrounded by beech forests. I completely agree with you that this video will be of particular interest to our descendants. It's a part of our family's history-how and where we lived, what we thought about, and what we aspired to. I would be fascinated to discover a video made by my great-great-great-great-grandparents or grandparents. Photos might not survive, but this video will last as long as KZbin exists. Thank you so much for your comment.
