In "A JOURNEY WITH..." I'll be reacting to individual guides for individual members of some of our favourite Kpop groups!!
I'll also be reacting to some of their solo work, as well!!

**CORRECTION** I stated during my reaction that D.O. had kids and was married - that’s not the case (at the time of this video, anyway 😂😭). I totally got the info about Chen and D.O. mixed up in my head - and the way they spoke about his "wife" on that variety show (in the present tense, as if he was currently married) didn't help. Hey, no need to remove it, we find it quite funny because, in the fandom, we usually joke around about the possibility of him already being married with kids, just because he's so private/mysterious and we know nothing about his life behind the scene, we know that he has two dogs, an older brother (no pics from him), he lives in his own house ( he dreams to become a farmer later), his mother is a great cook ,they even took the cook licence together (specialised in traditional korean cuisine) 😅 He hates to walk on foot, he doesn't train for abs ( he hates exercises) , he used to be more playful, but, after incidents with sasaeng fans , he became a little anxious and quiet ( fans broke into his dorm and stole pieces of clothes, they obsessivelyfollowedhim day and night ) Even Dispatch followed him for months and couldn't find out anything unusual, they just posted his pictures between the schedules, randomly ( stepping out of the car, or watching something on his phone, rehearsing) 😊 Oh, and, between all members, he has the most male fans and female fans over 40 and beyond 😘

D.O is just a silent type of guy, who is very humble about his talents. He may seem quite and likes a private life but he truly love his fans called "EXO-L's". He love what he is doing, he is just very shy don't like to be compliment and notice a lot. He is one of the amazing vocalist of kpop, as a solo artist his music sits to just simply guitars and his riffs and vocals. He has this perfect voice that really suits for RnB and acoustic music. He always perform with just guitar together with Chanyeol. They are the acoustic duo of exo. To just clarify, he is not married yet. What he mean about wife in one of the variety show, where he talks about his dream of being a farmer, is the thought that he wants or dream of just being farmer with his wife or future wife he may have in the future. But overall D.O is one of the humble, simple yet talented idol, he can sometimes be a savage because he is D.O lols but he loves to take care of his members, he is very polite and respectful of his fans most especially of elders and staffs. Lastly, he is a multilingual artist who can sing different language incredibly, he can sing english smoothly without even being fluent of the language, the same as Spanish. The first empathy album that he put up was a gift for the fan after the two years of military. And he intended to put up English and Spanish version as additional gifts to the fans. This may be too much information, but I wanna thank you for appreciating exo. I'll look forward for more exo contents from you! :)))

Some people say he changed a lot his personality when he started to face the reality of being famous, a lot of crazy fans gave him and other members a hard time, that's when he became a little more reserved and private, it might all have something to do with age and the wisdom that came with it, but he certainly was more playful at the beginning of his career, now he's as sweet as ever but he learned to set healthy boundaries with fans, he won't pretend to be someone else or do fan service if he doesn't feel like it. Others members like Baekhyun help him to refocus the attention and I feel that's why he loves his members so much. Doesn't get me wrong, we can see how much he loves his fans, but not like family or friends, just as fans that support him and encourage his work, he treat us with love and respect but always reminds us his private life only concerns to him. He's loving caring, he's most likely EXO members' favorite coworker and friend, and that's because he's loyal, real and caring towards them. Thank you for reacting to this guide, I really enjoyed it. Hope you grow to love EXO not just as artist but as people cause they really prove to be wonderful human beings.

D.O. released his first solo album Empathy last July 2021 with Rose as the title track. In that album, there's an English track and a Spanish track too. Imagine an album with Korean, English and Spanish songs in it. 😍

Don't worry about the length of the video, we EXO-Ls are known for watching very long videos. I, myself, once I spent over 5 hours watching a reactor watch all the individual guides of Cesar Oh, even though I have seen them myself, and had seen many, many reactors do the same. His dad's still alive!! It was an appreciation of his father raising him well. And yes, he has played a villain, in "Hello Monster" I would honestly recommend pretty much all his acting work. I really like "Annoying Brother" because he actually is playing a blind person, he does a really good job. Similarly, in It's Okay, That's Love he's insanely good too. .....Actually everything he's done is good, watch everything....

He definitely has came out once and said he doesn’t like the spotlight. Once at an award show Suho asked him if he was here for the show, he said no I’m here to perform”. He used to be more outgoing, not too much but more than what’s shown now, but due to saesangs he became more secluded and private. They snuck in their dorm, stole his underwear and sold it online. They even followed him everywhere. He admitted that he became suspicious of all his fans and couldn’t enjoy their support as well anymore. Thank God it seems he’s gotten better recently, he’s more outgoing, joking more often and even reaching out to us fans through Bubble, giving us updates of his days. I wish I could find those fans and beat them up for making Kyungsoo that way!!

Kyungsoo has been my ultimate bias in kpop since 2012. He's one of the most talented yet most humble kpop idols out there. Also, in both songs 'that's okay' and 'rose' he used animations in the music video. He loves animations and drawing, he's excellent at it and his father is actually a well known painter in Korea.

In fact, Kyungsoo has very good friendly relations with all the members of EXO. With Chanyeol, they are very close friends, and with Baekhyun, according to Baekhyun himself, they have a similar way of thinking. Chen told a long time ago how D.O. help. "Chen: - To be honest, whenever we're working on a new album or project, it's hard on all the members. We all get stressed and when we're physically tired, we get sensitive too. When we're nodding off, our tired eyes would meet and D.O. would always say that to me - "Thanks for all your trouble." Even when he himself is having his own troumles along with the rest. Kyungsoo has been working non stop and struggling with acting and EXO activities at the same time. But, he never fails to support all his members. One of the scariest moments Kyungsoo fainting and rolling down the stairs, the stage was 3 meters tall. The 2015 SMTOWN Japan. Kyungsoo was filming movie "Pure love" in Korea. To flight to Japan, Kyungsoo had to drive 5 hours to Busan, then another 2 hours to Seoul, and another 2.5 hours to Japan. It's very tiring, he's tired. P.S. From a conversation with film critics about the film "Swing kids": "He posseses the charisma to fill up the whole screen & i fekt his growth as an actor. Acteually there's alot of peaple opposed to his casting in the beginning. It's a 15 bil won huge production. will it work if Kyungsoo's the main lead. So there's an INVESTMT COMPANY that said no. But directed Kang Hyungchul insisted on using him so in the end they changed the INVESTMT COMPANY. But after watching the movie i think u will understand why the director did it. By the way, a fun fact - D.O. left the military service earlier than his due date, and then even the US media got this news. As the presenter of ABS news said, "There hasn't been such a fuss since Elvis Presley joined the army in the 1950s." Sorry for such a long comment and for my English (not my native language). By the way, EXO participants were given superpowers, I think, for their characters: calm D.O - strength, bright emotional Baekhyun - light, passionate Chanyeol - fire, kind Lay - healing, etc. There is a Discovery Channel Korea. There, the artists go on a journey alone. Off the Grid. Just interesting to watch, listen to what they think. For the first time in ten years of hard work, Kyungsoo had the opportunity to be alone, calmly think about his life (I also liked Kim Da Mi there). The K-pop industry is pretty ruthless. To show us the fans their best performances, the artists all work very, very hard. And we must remember this. These men devoted their lifes and health to become artists and for their fans, the minimum we can do is support them back, love them back and let them do what make them happy. If it’s building a family and having babies so be it. They deserve it, they deserve to be happy. They sacrificed a lot, they need to have a normalcy in their life. P.S. No❗️He is NOT a dad, he is unmarried and single for all we know. Kyungsoo grew up in a happy family and his father is alive and well. The song is a simple dedication. It is a fair question but just want to get it out of the way. Thank you for doing this! I’ve never seen anyone taking this much time to read into every single word in the guide. Most of your assumption about him is correct. He’s very private. I think a large part of why he’s not on social media is because he thinks of him self as a normal guy with nothing special to share. It’s amazing considering how famous he is since debuting at age 19, and is also how he still stays true over the decade. I’m also amazed at how much you know about K-movies and dramas cuz I feel like most reactors don’t. Swing Kids and My Annoying Brother are must sees. I wish the guides would point out the Blue Dragon Award is the Korean equivalent of the Oscars cuz I don’t think everyone realizes how big it is for him to win it, given the stereotype surrounding idol actors. A lot of actors who won the same award were well into their late 30s and 40s at the time, and Kyungsoo winning it at 25 is monumental for him. Its hard to have a favorite among all these amazing and beautiful inside out men but Kyungsoo still manages without even trying. I am not a young lady. If you didn't know .. here's a story about D.O. D.O. was very shy and nervous when he first debuted later on he overcame that after doing a couple of interviews... He was very cheerful, he was chaotic, he was noisy, he was more expressive than Baekhyun, he was shy too but was not nervous being savage was their from his birth😂😂😂 Then there was two tragics happened that changed his personality 1. The leaving of the Chinese members 2. The abusing by the sasaeng fans- this had more impact in him Why can't people leave idols alone But don't worry.. recently after coming from the military, he said that he is trying his best to talk more and we can see that in Exo Arcade Season 2

I remember the first time I heard Si Fueras Mía I burst into tears. As a person from South America, hearing a member of my favorite boygroup take the time to practice Spanish (which is hard if you are not a native speaker) to sing an ENTIRE song in this language, was for me the most beautiful gift in the universe. In my own experience since I'm also horribly shy, it's annoying when people try to focus on that personality trait and demand answers as to why we are like that. I don't blame Kyungsoo for looking annoyed at JYP focusing on that, but I'm also glad the members stepped in and answered for him so he wouldn't have to deal with that.

So happy to see your first journey, and that you even included brightsoo’s video that I recommended. Really appreciate it! He’s an amazing actor, and the one villain role he’s played so far is really good, in ‘’Hello Monster’’. I’m hoping for a somewhat similar vibe in his upcoming drama ‘’Bad Prosecutor’’ that is set to air in october, even though he might go crazier with that role ^^ ‘Dad’ is my favorite from Empathy (if it is possible to pick favorites), so I loved to see your reaction. Mine was the same. I’ve been listening to the album every day for the past year. ‘That’s Okay’ is a beautiful song he made as a gift on the day he enlisted for military. The lyrics are really deep, and it brings comfort to a lot of people, both fans and other idols in the industry. The first thing he did after military discharge was to gift us with a live studio version. He’ll most likely sing it live now on stage for the first time during SM Town concert on the 20th of august. EXO tease each other like brothers, and Kyungsoo is so freaking patient, and definitely gives as good as he gets 😂 He's stated countless times that his members are his family, and you can see the love in the way he looks at and interacts with them. Kyungsoo also truly adores his fans; in concerts the way he looks at EXO-Ls with such gratitude melts my heart. He expresses himself very different from the other members. After you get to know him more you learn that his facial expressions that may seem angry or annoyed are sometimes just his "hereeee we go" faces or a sarcastic/dramatic reaction; he's got the kind of deadpan humor that makes it hard to tell when he's joking sometimes, even for the EXO members 🤣 But we love him for his honesty, and though he doesn't share his thoughts often, when he does it's always sincere. You're right- he doesn't really seem to like the constant limelight, but he does love to perform, and when interactions with fans remains respectful you can see he enjoys it- however he does seriously scold fans if he sees behavior he doesn't like.

Most of the time when i watched reaction to exo member's guide, i always said that you should check them more, the guide is not enough to describe their talent, their work. they all much much more than the guide, please watch their solo work. that's what i always said. But you did it!! you really check and react to it. wow... thank you... yes D.O. play as a villain in hello monster, he nailed it!! and he played as a drug dealer in room no. 7. it's a dark movie. now he already finished 2 movies, we still wait when they will play it in cinema. and he is now working for his new drama, Bad Prosecutor. Can't wait for it to be air, they said it will air around october this year. D.O. is one of a kind idol. He has this personality that makes him stand out more. Kyungsoo is the love of my life. He is my kind of person who stands out without wanting to, true to himself, simple, full of talent and who over the years always surprises us with some new facet. Fun fact: All of the EXO members first solo songs have something to do with the fact that they are members of EXO, and their MVs and songs show them using their EXO superpowers. D.O.'s superpower is force which harnesses the power of earth (dirt) to create super strength. So in "Rose" you see the things exploding or falling down, etc. because he is using his power of force. His blissful love state may be causing him to lose control of his powers. And the "Rose" flower theme could be connected to the flowers within EXO's storyline and/or represent the heart of the Tree of Life. So, although it looks like D.O. is just oblivious about what is happening around him -- which he is -- I don't think these things are just happening. I think he actually might be the one causing most of the things to happen, he just doesn't notice it. (Which is sort of similar to other instances when D.O. uses his powers in other EXO content, such as in EXO's "Ko Ko Bop" MV. In "Ko Ko Bop" D.O. splits open the ground when he falls down, which seems to be something he does unintentionally because he doesn't have control of his power at that time.) I don't think he's avoiding danger, but causing the danger to happen. He just doesn't notice it because he is lost in his own little love bubble or world at the moment. Other examples of the members' powers being connected to their solo debut, Baekhyun's debut solo album City Lights and his song "UN Village" talks about his power to control light, Suho's debut solo "Let's Love" MV shows him with his power to control water, and Kai teleports all over in his "Mmmh" MV. And as the first EXO member to have a solo career, the majority of Lay's solo MVs tie into EXO's storyline as well. Even in their solo work, everything EXO does is connected to their concept and storyline as members of EXO. As you may have noticed, D.O. is known for his R&B vocals, however, his Empathy album, which "Rose" is on, is actually more of an acoustic album with a lot more ballady softer mellow songs. He surprised us all by not going R&B right out of the gate. So we are waiting for him to dig into more of his R&B side with his future solo work.

LOL But SM also has the main points planned out years in advance, so what we are seeing released today could very well have been something they scripted and wrote years ago. So they have plenty of time to weave the web and make sure the connections are created.

But I see in the comments they informed you a lot about kyungsoo (and they have clarified some more things like that he isn't married😅) and other things to understand him about how private he is because of his experience with sasaengs 😪, but one more fact that they have not emphasized in this video is that he is part of the dance line in exo k (korean sub unit of exo), he doesnt consider himself a great dancer but he is so good, apart, from predebut he had a girlfriend who was a dancer, some close people like teachers and classmates say that maybe she helped him a lot in that aspect, since he dont know anything in that aspect he debuted early (almost 2 years of training), and everything you said here 11:40 is totally true, I think it's the closest way to describe what he is like, amazing reaction 💚

An album of different phases of love, the way Kyungsoo would want to portray...he looks up to his parents the most, and his family is his world. I already know I’m gonna love this new series. It’s actual do as in do re mi as in doe a deer a female deer 😂😅 kyungsoo (you said this part right) . That dance in front of the white wall is actually the Call me Baby Music video. Yes I watched swing kids in theaters in Seattle and it was a great experience I was a sobbing mess for multiple reasons. He has played the villain and he was indeed amazing! One of his first roles was as a psychopath murderer in a show called Hello Monster. That’s actually a radio show recording room with the green wall and the posters. In my opinion I don’t mind when reactors are “spoiled to songs”. Empathy a top tier album no misses. These songs are also on my sleep playlist 😂

It's not he think Chanyeol (blue shirt) a joke but Chanyeol usually joke around with him,like calling D.O. then proceed to ignore him (they explain this in the next scene in full vid) That's why D.O. ignore him. 2) D.O. as villain - there's many clip of him hitting other member, but they really like to tease him (they admitted it, one of them even admit he like it when D.O. react & hit him) P/s : he acted as a killer in 'Hello Monster' 3) That's Okay song - D.O. co-write with another writer. The other writer explain how D.O. gave the framework, words he want to include in the song, n the things he want to express in the song. D.O or Do Kyung-Soo is such an incredible artist. What is amazing is that he has been consistently authentic to himself. He is thoughtful and deliberate in his actions, film/music selections, and life choices. As with most EXO members, each of them shines individually and collectively, without forfeiting their individuality.
