In Tamil Naadu, Kaaraikudi is known as Chetti Naadu, it's predominantly Chettiyar community, from where the famous Lyricist "Kannadasan", actress Manorama the film company AVM(A.V.Meyappachettiyar). In Jaffna too, Chetty Street starts off the Point Pedro Road before Nallur Temple toward down south to Navalar Road. The name of the road is attributed to why Karaikudi has got the name of Chettinaadu. All KZbinrs should improve general knowledge.
