A Kargil War Hero’s Last Letter: Father Reads Son’s Final Goodbye | Kargil Vijay Diwas

Vijyant was only 22 when he went to Kargil. He died braving the enemy on the icy heights of Knoll and Three Pimples in Drass. He was conferred the captain's rank posthumously and was also awarded the Vir Chakra for his bravery.

Humble request to the Indian Government, please add a chapter on Kargil War Heroes in NCERT & state board books. If this sacrifice of our soldiers is taught to younger generations, they'll come to respect our Indian Army & gradually militancy may also come down. Even I didn't know much about Kargil War & our real Heroes 🙏🙏much until Shershah's release because as students we had never been told about the same. Let's see when our Government wakes up on this matter.
