You know, I actually really enjoyed this despite being a straight guy - though part of that is because I believe there's an F4A version of the script too, so the dragon's gender doesn't actually _matter._ Personally, I've been a huge fan of dragons ever since I was a kid, but I'm FAR more comfortable with a relationship like this one if my dragon partner is _female._ However, since I love dragons so much, I've actually been thinking about what those huge, scaly lizards would _actually_ sound like if they could talk, and I think a deep, masculine voice makes the most logical sense - and this is just as true for female dragons as male ones. So, I'm actually picturing this dragon being a girl, as I'm more comfortable with that - perhaps dragons just don't use gendered words?

How did it take me this long to realize I hadn’t commented on this yet?! This series has been amazing so far! From the world building/lore, to the character development and conflict. So far, he’s already showing signs of being protective and holding care for this human in a way that most of his kind don’t. It’s also very easy to read into both Xayd’s intentions and Mouse’s reactions/motivations as well with both the writing and the delivery (no matter it’s the dialogue or the narrated blocking). All in all, wonderful job as always, AJ & Esme! I’m curious as to what else I’ll notice when I go back and watch through the other parts as well!
