A knot instead of a safety pin and a swivel /Rapala knot

If you forgot the safety pin or don't want to use it, use the "Rapala" super knot. Thanks to it, especially small lures will not lose freedom of movement.

I tie with 2 or 3 wraps without the extra lead going thru the loop a second time and never had a failure. You made the knot more complicated than it needed to be. Try again.

Your right , he did it trying to mask a loop knot . Also three raps is plenty , I never had one slip or pull out in over thirty years of fishing .

OK, so basically a non-slip loop knot with an extra feed through for insurance.

The loop is too big. The forward hook will catch on it.
