You can take but you will not get same answer Yes this question is not correct fully either the angles are wrongly given or the distance are not proper. Using both the methods are giving different answer. So according to board whatever method you apply you get full marks. One more thing. This question very much related to 'NCERT EXAMPLER ' question page 100.

Exactly, with tan it's 9.56 something, and using sin it's 7.56
