"Kid! KID! The kid ate the line-up!" LOL! This film is fun on so many levels! Thank you all! As I watched this film, Doris reminded me of Susie in Marvelous Mrs. Maisel; same kind of toughness, don't jerk me around, but loyal to the end.

Geena Davis was born beautiful and is still gorgeous. In the 90’s I thought she would be the perfect actress to play Jean Grey in the X-Men movies.

She could play Teela in a He-Man movie!

A great subject. A great picture. It's inspiring me to write a song about the AAGPBL: "Girls Can Play Baseball, Too".

Loved the movie. Its the 1st movie I watch before baseball season. I have aunts during this period in America who were very good athletes and competed at a high level.

Tom Hanks always says he gained 30lbs for the role, but I don't think he looked any different.

I still love this movie. If they were to make it today, there would be so many obvious political agendas shoved down our throats it just would never be worth the price of admission.

The story already has an agenda. No further agenda is necessary. It speaks for itself. It’s the difference between Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal, the sequel. Silence is a classic and everything is done subtly wherever possible. Nobody outright says that Clarice is being treated differently because she’s a young female, but it’s strongly implied. Hannibal hammers you over the head with it. Ray Liotta basically spells it out bluntly. Everything is on the nose. That’s not necessary. Here, guys mock them and the girls take them down and prove themselves. Some of the best movies have agendas. It’s how those agendas are handled that counts. Exposition that is on the nose doesn’t do it. Show how things are different. The scene with the black lady catching the ball pre-Jackie Robinson was perfect. Nothing more was needed. We get it. We didn’t need an over the top scene. Less is more sometimes.

The guy has blood on his hands, botching the worst health crisis in a century, supported an illegal attempted coup of the capital, and fanned the flames of racism we are still dealing with in 2021. Go away you deluded person. This movie should not be disturbed by such toxicity.
