Same thing happened to me with my very first silicone baby. Just remember you get what you pay for . She is beautiful and you can always paint thee belly stub when you get a chance.

Hi Diana. So nice to meet you. Box openings are always so exciting. She is adorable and goreous rooting. So sorry about the umbilical cord. You can always buy the magnets and some good glue. You should be able to fix it easily. But it really should have come with the magnets in place. And the cord should have been darker pink/purple in color. But she is gorgeous. Just subbed to your channel.

Awww, the Gracie Mae kit is a real cutie, and the wrap around belly plates are truly an improvement on the little belly plates. Sorry the UC wasn’t magnetized ☹️. It may have been 40 years ago, but I remember umbilical chords being dark pink and purple. Does she have eyelashes? Oh sweets, I’m so sorry you had a less than exciting BO…I just LOVE watching box openings, (I paint all my own, so I don’t get to have those) but I still enjoyed watching this one. I guess as the ol’ saying goes..”you get what you pay for”. She would make a nice goal reaching prize. I won’t be entering tho..I’ve got 300+ kits to paint..I’m over and above the capacity for new dolls😂😂😂. Maybe you will bond with her and the dissatisfaction will float away…. Hugs and smiles for miles, Joy😊

Thanks for watching she does have lashes. I am getting ready to start painting myself there's just so much to buy to get started. My goal is to quit having to buy also. When I learn I will strip the cord and repaint it to look more real. Meanwhile I've got to take her apart and reweigh her she feels like she has absolutely nothing in her head. I'm sure I will bond with her after that but if not that is a good idea to use her as the give away. My current plan is to give away a Blake but I'm sure I have plenty of time to decide because I'm not even to 500 subscribers yet. @@dianasapiens5990 thank you for the invite, and if you need any advice or tips for painting, you can certainly contact me..I use airdry paints, so I’d be no good for heat set painting..caustic fumes from heated vinyl is a no no for any 10yrs+ in remission cancer warrior, (plus it’s quicker and waaaaay cheaper) but matte sealants are universal, and I’m about 10 brands into the know now🙄😂😂😂. 4 years ago I purchased a Serenity by Laura Lee Eagles. That doll and your doll look enough alike to be sisters, There are differences of course. I had decided to call it quits with another baby but oh that sculpt makes me want her. Thank you for sharing, I don't remember the name of the artist that did mine, but I am disappointed in a few things. It wasn't until I felt brave enough to open her up that I found a few things like her magnet had shifted to her cheek and she was born on Christmas 2019 and I opened her about 6 months later. Sand in her head, she had stuffing all over the roots of her hair and I was wanting to put a magnet in her head for a bow. I fixed her existing magnet but had to contend with the sock of sand being glued to the head as well. It broke and I had to empty her head into a bowl and use one of my old knee high stockings to fix her. I had to unstuff her butt as she is a newborn and I was having trouble getting 3 month size bottoms on her and 0-3 month clothes fall off of her. I have a Rosie silicone from Paradise galleries and a Berenguer doll I am going to change the body on her, weight her, and going to try to root her. The ribbon ties on your body plate are another thing I may do to hers, it is painted nicely but I just have to place it on her and hope her clothes hold it on. I'm glad you can fix the things that are wrong she is a beautiful baby.

Oh my gosh sweetie that all sounds terrible I'm so sorry you had to go through that. How do you like your silicone I've never thought of looking there for a silicone. I too have a berenger I thought about trying to reborn him. Just getting myself to get things done is a problem in its own because I am such a procrastinator lol I am going to start painting or at least trying to paint my own dolls. The expense of getting started is crazy. When I do I'm going to try to strip the umbilical cord and repaint it to look more natural. I've enjoyed talking with you please feel free to message back. @@dianasapiens5990 I have thought about trying to paint my own but my problem is I'm retired and on a small income, so I save to get the things I want. I won the silicone from Paradise Galleries from Nlovewithreborns2011 and I love her. I do a lot of crafts already and I am enjoying making her clothes as she is a preemie size. I did you a good quality colored pencil to put eyebrows on my berenguer baby. She looks so much better, she is opened eyed so going to try to glue false lashes on her instead of trying to root them. I am working on ordering the body, mohair, and rooting needles next. I am leaning toward air dry paints. I watch Creative Newborns and love her babies too.
