When back in NYC, come over the bridge to Fort Lee/Edgewater, NJ. Mitsuwa Market has a Japanese food court. There is a ramen shop there that is not to be missed.

That looked like a great bowl of ramen. You enticed me to get the same for dinner tonight. The chashu looked looked thick, yet tender. I'm pretty sure that the black stuff was wood ear mushroom.
