Happy Saturday guys! Thanks for the joining the livestream, I hope you found it helpful! Sorry for the mistake on the -4 at the beginning. I was definitely “too locked in” 😂😅. I’m definitely going to check the live chat more. 🫡 The next stream will be on Monday 10th June NOT Tuesday as I think I said! 🤦🏾♂️ Timestamps are now done! My full list of predicted topics are here: Vectors Circles Trapezium Rule Graph Transformations Small Angle Approximations Modelling with Logs Log Laws Exponential Modelling Modelling with Quadratics Partial Fractions Integration By Parts Integration as the limit of a Sum Parametric Equations - Differentiation/Integration/Finding the Cartesian Equation Connected Rates of Change - The Chain Rule Let me know if there is anything I missed. The link to the online notes, where I do all my workings is in the description! See you on Monday! Daniel 🙏🏾

Very informative live, will you do a livestream for paper 3 topics (stats and mech) ?

When you find the area of the kite, why can’t you do the base x height using the 2 radii given? Why do you have to find a new base and height?
@nicol-he2zq3 ай бұрын
hi for question 3a why can you use the formula given and not have to create your own formula. surely in exam questions, you always create your own formula in order to show the formula they gave you. I'm not sure if that make sense

Yunno the 7 marker for the line y = 2x could you also get that by substitution instead of cancellation

Yeah! I think I did the way the mark scheme did

hi sir will you be doing a live for stats and mechanics aswell?

Hello I have a question though it may seem quite silly. You see the vectors question part a), when you equated 7 to lambda (p-4) which you found to be 4. Why do you have to multiply the 7 by 4 instead of dividing it to remove the lambda?
@user-vv6lb5rc6r3 ай бұрын
never mind, from the next question I understood your approach 👍🏽

59;34 isnt it meant to be 26 instead of 27?
@madeleine-wc1gx3 ай бұрын
No so he subtracted the bottom equation from the top, so 9-36 = -27! The 26 is a separate thing where he does 26-17 to get 9.

Hi, on the circle question, when finding the length SQ, why can’t you assume SRQ is a right angle triangle and use Pythagoras with the two radii to find the hypotenuse? Because, are the radii not tangents to each other, meaning they intersect at a right angle? But, this gets a different answer to your method, but I just don’t know why!
@charliejeffries63723 ай бұрын
you can do that
@madeleine-wc1gx3 ай бұрын
@@charliejeffries6372 oh… it didn’t get the same value when I tried it?
@charliejeffries63723 ай бұрын
@@madeleine-wc1gxshould get 3^2 + 6^2 = 45 then square root the 45 to get the hypotenuse which is root 45 which is the same as 3root5
@madeleine-wc1gx3 ай бұрын
@@charliejeffries6372ah ok I see what you’ve done yes. That’s not using the radii though, instead using the centres, so I still don’t quite know why it doesn’t work using the radii, being root 17 and root 26😅
@charliejeffries63723 ай бұрын
@@madeleine-wc1gx oh my bad I read your question wrong but how would it work with the radii because unless I’m missing it they wouldn’t make a right angle
