do we need to learn 3 evaluation points each for hemispheric lateralisation and split-brain research, or just three in total for that sub-topic?

When completing a 16 marker on this topic do we just evaluate the research or evaluate the theory as well? For example, Nielsen et al (2013) found no dominance when using hemispheres.

You can evaluate both. Just make sure you are being clear on what you are evaluating.

Hi sir, can we get a 16 marker on hemispheric lateralisation and if we do then can we use ao3 points from localisation of function or split-brain research?
@smcartledge2723
@smcartledge2723 2 жыл бұрын
Yes you can and If you do get a 16 marker on hemispheric lateralisation you can include split-brain research in your outline. So then you can use the AO3 points from both hemispheric lateralisation and split-brain research.

Is the horizontal row of lights not part of the procedure , where they flashed the patients right visual field and left VF, or is that the same procedure as the one as you have stated ?

very late reply but i think that was a sub experiment (it is listed on the simplypsychology website as the only one idk why) but the one with the words seems to be spoken about as the main experiment :)

In an outline would we include all of the variations as in the saying words, drawing, composite words and the fruit one? or just focus on one or two in more depth?

I would say two lots of findings would be plenty. Provided of course that the question isn’t specifically asking for more.

hi sir, i'm quite confused on that if the corpus calusum is severed or destroyed how is both hemispheres still connected. on a normal person where corpus collosum is still intact is both hempishere conntect to one another
@smcartledge2723
@smcartledge2723 9 ай бұрын
If the corpus callosum is severed the two hemispheres cannot communicate. That is what was happening with the split brain patients. The two hemispheres were not communicating. E.g in a connected brain when the right hemisphere processes information it communicates it to the left so it can be said out loud. In a Split Brain Patient the communication can’t happen and so the information cannot be verbalised.
