Key Words: • Ethnocentrism - when researches see and judge other cultures by the standards and values of the own perspective, presuming this is normal and correct. Belief in superiority of one's own culture. • Cultural relativism • Culture bias - tendency to interpret all phenomena through one's own culture. • Universality - if psychology is a scientific study if human behaviour it should be standardised and apply to all people. Not just white men. Hendrick: 68% participants came from USA 96% industrialised nations Arnett: 80% psychology undergrads Most likely to be studied: W - estern E - educated I - industrialised R - rich D - democrats This is a culture bias. If a norm or standard is set by a certain group of people (Weird people) behaviour of people from no-westernised, less educated, agricultural and poorer cultures are going to be seen as inferior, abnormal or unusual. Example of ethnocentric research: Strange Situation: Ainsworth suggested ideal attachment was babies showing moderation amounts of separation and strange anxiety. Too little - insecure avoidant. Too much - insecure resistant. Japanese babies were more likely to be insecure resistant likely due to the rare separate of Japanese mother's from their babies in daily life. Yay, you finished 🙃❤️ Good luck anyone who has an exam 🌼🌻🌸

@@Hellothere-is8xb I’ve done my a level psychology, the best thing i would recommend is to revise everything and memorise, the exams are all about memorisation in psychology and the correct application to the question. Especially AQA. Any little thing on the page or topic could come up, especially the ones you least expect.
