One thing he failed to mention is very few students shifting get good result in fsc. At maximum they may get 1030-1040(not including covid batch). Whereas by doing a levels now you can also get 1030-1045 maximum if you get all A* due to new equivalence rulings. Also as he said you can practically enter any field if you opt for maths as well. I myself have kept lums and nust/paf as backup options if I don't make it.

All of the students here from O levels, I would highly recommend u guys to do fsc (if u plan) as a private stud. If ur a student who prefers social life, daily interaction etc. Then u hv the benefit as per told by aniq bhai that they don't have events or any social life... moreover if u think that u can take up the fsc syllabus on ur own (which is actually possible) then u can even do without academies bcuz those academies are literally shit! U cannot even survive there, just check out once if u wanna do, well this was an advice from meh, rest ur choice. Best >>

@@zauhaahmad8879 so that’s why it’s recommended that if u have got o level grades then go for a levels. Otherwise go for fsc so that ur o level grades will only matter till 10%. In the 40% marks from fsc, o level grades will not interfere in them and u will get ur entire credit of fsc marks

If you wanna go to govt med college then it will be harder through A levels Bcz then ur O level grades will be counted more, but if you do fsc then ur o level grades wont matter that much. But if ur okay with private med college then u can do it both ways!

I think I deserve better, I've always had some A levels dudes who become arrogant, merely on the virtue of paying their fees in pounds. The Cambridge wing of my school is the most easy going in terms of their studies and here we don't have time to breathe. They should teach you guys ethics, that's a necessity bro! I’ve heard good stuff about Fbise but you should know not every board is like Fbise. There are still boards like Lahore board, Faisalabad Board, Gujranwala board where Ratta system is the best way to get marks

huge misconception is that fsc is all about cramming. it is way more conceptual and analytical if you're a fbise student. we have to cover almost 4 books for one subject each as per SLO references. fsc for me, as a Cambridge student formerly is very best. as far as urdu is concerned, SLO has made it so easy. you just have to listen to the delivered lectures properly and write your mind. we are literally writing and studying tons of info out of the book just for the topic. it really is interesting

Fbise is an exemption, Majority of the boards of Punjab still follow the same pattern of Cramming, I’ve heard stories from Students of Lahore Board, Faisalabad Board, Gujranwala board and many others. And you can’t really ignore the fact that a lot of MCQs of MDCAT come from Punjab Textbooks

Go for fsce if u want to apply to unis here in pak becoz entrance exmas do come from their books and it become really hard for o/a level student to adapt to fsc level just after finishing their alevels 😢.... Assalamualaikum! Hope you are doing well. After completing my O-Levels, I recently got admission to GCU Lahore for FSC Pre-Medical. Since the intermediate system has an advantage in NMDCAT and government medical college admissions, I was excited to start this new chapter. But after the first week, I am afraid. It's been my 3rd week. I haven't started studying yet. However, I'm facing a few challenges. The teaching style here is quite different from O-Levels, and I'm struggling to adapt. Additionally, I'm unsure whether to take Islamiyat in Urdu or English, as the entire class is studying it in Urdu. I'm also concerned about the Urdu subject on its own as well since I haven't started studying it yet and I am unfamiliar with the poetry, explanations, and other aspects since we didn't study it at olevel. Unfortunately, I discovered today that they also teach poems in English, which I thought only had essays etc. I'd greatly appreciate guidance from you on how to cope with this new system, adapt to it, and study effectively to score full marks in FSC Pre-Medical and prepare for the MDCAT. I am also having the stupid thought of studying A-level biology chemistry and physics privately as well. dont do a level after matric. it has 5 papers per subject and you guys arent used to our exam invigilation and paper pattern. just go for fsc: people score 1090/1100 in matric and fail all their A levels. dont try this, and your equivalence will not even hardly 91 percent whereas you can have 95+ in fsc. my honest opinion as a cie and former edexcel student. @@Blablabla-uf6zx

I'm doing Alevels, and i study in a well higher up school. Due to this I get to hear alot of foreigners come and give out scholarship/ chances to apply to their countries and colleges they are representing. If you're doing Alevels you have the option to go ANYWHERE as the education system is from the UK. They don't let pakistani education aka FSC or matriculation enter their bachelor programs or in your case MBBS.

Well if you are interested in tech and science and are pursuing pre medical because of your parents, then I suggest you to do A levels because that way you can have Pre Med subjects with an extra subject of your interest as well e.g Maths. This will be hectic but this will also allow you to switch to Engineering after your A levels as well. Talk to your parents about your interest as well.

I never said the people who have done A levels can’t pass MDCAT, I just said that majority of the MCQs that come in it are from Punjab Textbook Board which is it. However if you have good preparation you can still clear it easily, just do past papers and look at the exam pattern.

My friends of A levels didn’t get in any gov institute. As for FSc, some of my friends who got good marks think it was worth it while the ones that didn’t get good marks didn’t think it was worth it. As I said it’s a high risk high reward strategy
