Start by getting in the mountains.

Start small and know your priorities. Every thing else will follow.

Make it happens now. Go out, search the nearest smallest mountain. Ask a couple of friends along with you and take a hike

Start small, surround yourself with people who have more experience and training. Start in better weather only summertime, as your experience builds try more ambitious projects (as this happens you will build your gear kit). Work out and try different sports (mainly climbing, hiking, weight training). It's a beautiful feeling to know you're standing on one of tallest peaks. Best of luck, stay safe and hope you're progressing more towards your goal.
