I hope you are all doing well and can’t wait to read your comments! ❤ As mentioned in the video, I’m still posting weekly diary videos on Patreon (patreon.com/robinmacpherson) which will be turning into vlogs starting from July, and I just started the Secret Podcast back up there as well. Looking forward to seeing you all back here for more of these simpler videos over the next couple of months while I finish getting my first set of new tiny films ready to start publishing! 🎈 Let's all have a great new week ahead!

I'm doing good! I finished my schooling, so I'm now a journeyman in my trade. I moved and I have a tiny apartment, but it's all mine, so it feels huge and full of possibility. I'm closer to work, so I have an extra 2 hours in my day, and my weekends are my own now instead of belonging to what was necessary to be done on the homestead. The world in my oyster in ways it hasn't been in 15 years.

I just stumbled across your channel for the 1st time today watching one of your earlier language tutorials from 3 years ago. Your hair was long and immediately I watched that 1st documentary. I was really blown away and moved by it. You seemed like a completely different person to how you come across in your language tutorials. Almost like a Jekyl and Hyde transformation. I quickly realised you are more than just a polyglot (like so many other channels). I totally get your need to want to concentrate on quality over quantity. Rather than just churning out videos week after week on language tutorials. Your documentaries are amazing and I am truly inspired by your passion and motivation to develop new skills.

Nice that you are back and that you are fine. It's not important to make a lot of videos. The content is much more important and I know it's the time worth to wait. In the meanwhile we can watch old content. At the moment I concentrat me only on the czech language. It's hard to learn with dislekxy a new language. Maybe it can be a thema for one of the videos in future, that also people with a learning disorder can learn languages. It takes much longer, but we can reach also a good level. Have a nice day and greetings from Prague.

Hey man, I've seen many of your videos throughout the years, I wasn't so committed to the idea of learning languages, but I can tell you impacted me in so different ways each time I watched your videos, sometimes you gave me hope, some others you gave me hype, some others envy! Now I'm so deep into my language learning journey that this is the kind of video of you I need so, thank you and I'm so excited for you. I just want to say something, that I think you said some while ago: do things, don't worry about the result, do it. I know you're now learning and practicing, and it's perfect! But don't be scared of doing the first appearance. Don't worry, we'll be here. Go man, enjoy your life as you should've ever done it! Go go gooooooo

German in the evenings and some Portuguese but considering putting it on hold for another year or two like, I had originally planned to focus more on Swedish and Russian.

Hiiii Kaza! I'm so sorry that I didn't reply to your comment back at the time. I was going through a super difficult period at the time and the comments that wonderful, wonderful supporters like you left me here were so incredibly powerful and heartwarming. So even though it's months later now, I'm determined to slowly work my way through and reply to all of them! Thanks so much for taking the time to watch my long short documentary film and even after all these years, it still feels so special to me imagining that you have my book and enjoyed it. Especially that you appreciate the artistic beauty of it - that means the world to me! It's also truly encouraging to read that you enjoy hearing about my life as well as language learning. I do plan to make lots more language content finally, but I am also SO so so full of passion and enthusiasm about other things such as how I've fallen in love with learning animation and visual storytelling, things I've been going through in life and some big changes that will be happening next year - and I really want to bring you all along with me! But I've been a little bit unsure about how best to do that and if people will still be interested, so this helps a lot. Sorry for the super long reply, I hope it comes across how much engaging with all of you in these comments truly means to me. Big hugs and much love back to you always! *Robin*

Hi Robin, I've started following you only recently, I think it was partially due to the combination of how authentic you are through your videos and exploring language learning to an extent that I hadn't yet found a channel about. It was after watching the "For anyone who ever felt like a failure" video. It was nice to hear about the history of your channel & the short documentary you made and how you're returning to making the videos you really want to make. Really looking forward to seeing your large projects. This video was a reminder that I'm not the only one who works full time and wants to create videos that take more effort, skills. I feel that there is a growing collection of items that I can be learning, doing, writing, reading, editing, recording, listening to, and so on. On the smaller projects, I'd definitely be interested in hearing more about your journey to working at Google.

My latest focus has been European Portuguese, because I recently became a Portuguese citizen and decided it was time to finally learn to speak like a Portuguese person (having spoken Brazilian Portuguese for decades). The pronunciation course by @PortugueseWithLeo was a game changer for me. I'm now about to switch my focus back to Mandarin Chinese, because I'll be going to Hangzhou this September to work at the Asian Games. Then switching to Italian after that because I'm moving to Italy in October. Lots of exciting things happening!

Hi Robin, it is great to see you here again. Although I have been seeing your Patreon updates, this vlog has given more detail about your KZbin presence. I am amazed at your ability to learn so many languages, film making and software engineering etc. Your language learning videos helped me enormously as I was able to become an independent learner and reached a very high level in Italian. Unfortunately, I had an accident which had me couch-bound for almost a year. During that time I refined my language but I may have burned out and associate it with a very tough period dealing with a lot of pain. I am continuing to keep my language going but I feel I am losing my proficiency. Currently I have been dabbling in Russian on Duolingo and really enjoying it, although I don't have motivation (yet) to do more than that. I know you have dropped languages and picked them up again so I'd be interested in your tips for people in my situation if you are looking for a language learning topic. Have a great week.

Saludos.
