The soliloquys: Wilson sings part of the Major-General's Song from The Pirates of Penzance, by W.S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan. The song serves as an introduction for a character who is more educated than competent. Willow recites a parody of Tyger, Tyger, by William Blake. Between the poem Wolfgang wrote here and the play he wrote which the Snowfallen skins are costumes for, he seems to be rather poetically inclined. Wendy quotes La Belle Dame sans Merci, by John Keats. A few of her strings also reference Edgar Allen Poe, C.S. Lewis, and Lewis Carroll. WX-78 attempts to give a motivational speech. Wickerbottom shares some fun facts about theatre. Woodie doesn't like having all eyes on him, so Lucy makes up a poem, confirming that she's sentient and Woodie's not just crazy. Wigfrid covers Die Walküre, calling back to her animation. Webber quotes The Spider and the Fly, by Mary Howitt; and Little Miss Muffet. Both are classic children's poems. Walter's been teaching Woby tricks; so far, she can only stay. Warly quotes Le Chant de Ceux qui S'en Vont sur Mer, by Victor Hugo. Wortox quotes A Midsummer Night's Dream, by William Shakespeare. He also quotes it when he examines Corvus Goodfeather. Goodfeather is a reference to AMND character Robin Goodfellow, a fairy trickster; both Wortox's Shakespeare quotes allude to him. Wormwood sings a song he makes up as he goes. Wurt tells a fairy tale she made up. Wanda quotes You Are Old, Father William, by Lewis Carroll. Winona wrote a limerick. Maxwell opens his performance by repeating the opening of his and Charlie's final show verbatim. He then remarks that his act isn't the same without her. Wes' act speaks for itself.

I haven't seen anyone else mention this but it gave me chills. When the narrator refers to the mirror at the end of the play, it says "and the magic mirror knew, they had finally found the one who would set Them free." "Them" is capitalized for a reason. Love that.

I mean yeah it don’t matter for a fictional character but also?? If somebody mistakes Wurt for a male. I’m sure somebody would go “Oh Wurt is a girl” and then people will just accept and move on. Because yeah it’s not a big deal, so just be consistent with canon. And WX canonically uses they/them.

This entire thing was insanely well written, props to Klei for the amazing story telling. Final act with the fool was not only very amusing but also very clever as it answered the question of why charlie never came after Maxwell while he was on the throne. The entire thing was very self aware and meta. My favorite individual performances have to have been Wanda's which is insanely meta and says slot about her as a character. And Wolfgang's which is just super sweet

The mirror is Them, as we got a capital T in act 3 scene 3: "they had finally found someone who would set Them free." The Return of Them arc lead people to believe that the Them in Return of Them was the moon (myself included), but the problem is that all of the quotes in-game that ever refer to Them never mention the moon or mysterious energy, but instead something related to nightmare fuel/the shadows or the nightmare throne, all of it being shadow magic. Maxwell's quote for the lantern is the biggest proof of this as he says "I hope this keeps Them away." The damaged eye in the mask seems to be key. I've seen some folks suggest the Alter is the missing eye, but there's another eye that makes a lot more sense. In the metheus puzzles, we get a shadow eye come from the Ancient Gateway that the torch bearer fights back. It would make more sense as well since we have the name for the moon (Alter) and the tablets in the Archive biome tell us that the Ancients worshipped Alter before they had discovered nightmare fuel.

Go to where you have steam installed and go the following directory. For me, it's as follows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Don't Starve Together\data\sound Once there, you're gonna have to find where the music you want is located (the name of the file is normally an intuitive name or one that makes sense). You will need to download foobar plus a plugin in order to play some of the music.
