Surprising good looking and a lot of usable space for 16ft! Very nice score for sure!

What is the sailing performance like with the 5000 Jason? Keep up the good work. Love watching your work.

better than I expected but defientely a boat for lighter conditions. Going forward is difficult with the narrow decks and high cabin top. I think room wise they are great, but sailing wise i think the hartely 16 is far better in many ways.

@@mycrazyboatlife cheers mate. That's probably the question i should've asked was "how does it compare to the Hartley". Cheers mate. Love watching ya videos.

Interesting video. I also have a Farr 5000 and aim to do sailing at Lake Aviemore this summer. What outboard are you using?

Hey, that sounds fun. i used a 5hp but only because I had one. I reckon a 3hp would be fine to. A 4hp or a 5hp. I think bigger would be lost on it but it depends of course how much you intend to motor. I grew up in dunedin and timaru so know that area quite well. Be fun sailing there. When I was a kid my dad had a hartley 18 and we went to sailors cutting, but it was a bit before I could remember. It got in to my bones though! enjoy
