Kobold charecter idea...A kobold piloting a 8 foot tall mechanical suit that is in the shape of a full set of Dragonborn knight armor. So, technically a dragonborn warforged fighter piloted by a kobold artificer.

As a fan of kobolds that I am (specifically of its version in D&D 3.5) I must say that this is the best video I have seen that summarizes the history of kobolds and their relationship with gnomes. Perhaps I just missed mentioning that in addition to that incident that is in the legends, mythological, about the gods of both races... that enmity or animosity has been maintained on both sides by constant attacks and damage that ones have done to others for centuries (in addition, the version of the story that most kobolds know is that the god of the gnomes collapsed the mine/city of the first kobolds "just for fun, for a prank"... among them the part of that kobolds mined gnome gems and enslaved gnomes is unknown or unspoken (probably the version the gnomes would tell)). For example, and most commonly, the eggs that will give birth to winged kobolds are rare and highly prized because winged kobolds are so revered and envied that they are chosen to be the leaders of the tribes... most commonly leaders of various tribes (up to 200 individuals divided into tribes of around 40 individuals). And those eggs are taken by priests and sorcerers to sacred lands, on a pilgrimage to be raised in sacred kobold temples there; and it turns out that gnomes are invading those sacred lands all the time... probably knowingly. And kobolds in general try whenever they can to engulf and kill all the gnomes they see. It would be very interesting and endearing if part of the story of a campaign or comic or movie or videogame is about a kobolds and a gnome who little by little overcome that instilled desire to kill each other, learning to put it aside as they notice things that they have in common and perhaps that being the beginning of a new kobold tribe (if that kobold turns out to end up as a new leader) skeptical of those versions of mythology and open to building a bridge with the gnomes. Because much of what keeps kobolds as a primitive/tribal race is that autarky, resentment, suspicion and hatred they have towards all non-kobolds. For a tribe to abandon that and form an alliance and trade with the civilized races could be the beginning of the advancement of kobold culture/society.

For a tribe to abandon that and form an alliance and trade with the civilized races could be the beginning of the advancement of kobold culture/society." - Exactly! They only need to find a suitable niche and establish competent cooperation - at least with the help of a good leader who understands the situation - and the prospects, ingenuity and extreme simplicity coupled with enormous fertility threaten that the kobolds will very quickly become, if not the dominant race, then certainly one of the largest. They don't even need living space on the ground or pastures - they dig up and grow everything they need underground themselves... But in general, one thing surprises me: judging from what I learned, Glittergold was able to destroy the main city of the kobolds and destroy almost their entire population, apparently because at that time they were very much distracted by their green patron dragon... on whom the elves brought the mithril of dragonrage. At the same time, for some reason I have not heard any complaints from the kobolds about the elves :\

Yeah them kobolds are always seen as shifty and strange lil fellas. They seem to have gained great popularity in media lately, partly due to their smol appearance, but I think mostly due to their tendency to 'play dumb' and act in adorable ways to get things.
