Yeah man, the way he utilized the bell on his rides, and crashes, and Ride/Crash hybrids, and the little splash looking extra hihats he uses with the tonal subtleties of his warm/rich (I'm assuming he has the maples here, but he also had a Burch set I remember but not fully) Toms etc....man!! The only thing that stumped me about Peart was he apparently DID NOT hardly do anything off the cuff, but maybe this subsided in these later years, idk but I read he himself talking about not just improv jamming and such, he was literally an over-perfectionist basically the Kubrick of Percussion.

Bill Griffin They did sort of work together (spiritually, not physically) on the previous album "Moving Pictures," on the track "Vital Signs" which was directly influenced by the Police. Rush were big fans of the Police but I've never heard anyone from the Police say they liked Rush music. Sting and Andy Summers were more in Jazz-Rock. However, Stewart was in a prog-rock hippie band called "Curved Air" prior to the Police, so maybe he had an appreciation for the awesomeness of Terry-Brown-era Rush which he may not have allowed himself to express in public, lest he interfere with his band's punk/new-wave anti-dinosaur-rock image. In fact, Stewart didn't even want Summers in the band because he thought Summers (ex Animals, Soft Machine and Kevin Ayres Band) wasn't "punk" enough.
