I was born on groundhogs day so I LOVE THEM& actually met Punxsutawney Phil when I was 11. They let me pet him and all. I do have to say tho...this groundhog is VERY SPECIAL. He has such personality &its like he wants ppl to view him. I want to hug him♡. How could anyone harm such a blessing (roadkill/hunters)!?! God bless you Chunk&keep eating good!

Nice to see Chunk still out and about, although possibly about to go to bed for the season. Our groundhog disappeared around Labor Day, possibly scared away by renovation work, we guess, because it seemed too early for start of hibernation. We're hoping the burrow gets used again next year, though. Seeing Chunk via KZbin provides my groundhog fix in the meantime.

Oh that's good stuff Chunk says! I bet he knows in some ways that someone is leaving him that stuff and he is grateful. Probably smells like the man leaving it there for him, he may recognize him and not run if he sees him. But what I've learned about GH is they run, safety first, not the "throw caution to the wind" type of animals.
