After I saw patch notes for bleed ammo I started playing it a lot more. Now I'm playing Springfield Compact Striker + one slot bleed & dual Conversion FMJ. Also I take Decoy Fuses to make people move when they bleed. Also bees jars. :P I take Compact Striker because I believe that Bleed is best at close range, when you can pressure people (throw all the goodies at them), so I pass on normal Springfield (but this is a sad compromise - I miss the stability). Dual Conversion FMJ are very accurate, gives me good CC prolonged firepower and I can easily pen most covers that they take when bleeding (+ I can guess & miss a lot with 12 bullets). Compact Striker has a regular knife so with Dusters I have all the necessary weapons to deal with AI. The additional bonus with this is that your "main" weapon have a knife so you don't have to switch for every AI kill. Very versatile.

The bleed ammo change is perfect right now. Since medium ammo drops off on damage sharply.

Yeah... nah. I tested bleed and explosive ammo with springfield on testserver and bleed is actually rather something for mid range (40-70m) The bleed is always medium except longer distance where it ll be less also eventho its medium its very quickly to bandage/get rid of. Its not a massive "stun" and not a massive dot. That being said its really good to stop a push with, close the gap or bleed people out on the open field. Putting on more pressure is always something that gives you an advantage and the slower bullet doesnt matter to much when being closer therefore you just deal more damage than with your normal ammo. If they are far away just go for regular headshots with medium ammo. It would be interesting to see if explosive ammo on the springfield can still do some work. Before the custom patch it could be used as "no damage drop off"-ammo or "sparkstwin" (143dmg instead of 136, no drop off => easy kills on downed players) now Im not so sure anymore as I just checked the aoe dmg which went from bonkers 100ish (1m next to target) to about 50ish resulting in maybe a nice combo with uppercut

@@fluxbomb3376 I'm happy with its place in medium and light weapon categories since I feel like doing 130+ damage with a bleeding effect on long ammo would be too strong. Dealing less then 132 to the upper torso with the springfield dum dum at 10 meters was not very good.

@@fluxbomb3376 that's why you run the big meme build one long and one short Springfield both with one explosive ammo slot. The enemy can't bandage when they are getting bombarded by explosions.

I'd love to try this one out, but I've retired for good. Between all the stuff one has to deal and the little free time one's left with, Hunt's sitting comfortably at the bottom of the list of things I wanna do. One thing that'll always be on the top of the list is watching your videos, though! My man's just too entertaining, and always seems to have a blast!

Other than high velocity ammo on the winfields and nagant familes, dum dum was a close second. When this new update drops on console, where the base damage will not be reduced, I’ll probably run springfield and pax a lot more. In addition to the buff for the medium ammo in general. Yes springfield Dum Dum is soooo goood. I like to pair it with FMJ (conversion or lemat). Tag, they bleed, they hide. You shoot them through anything. I love it.

I'm sharing a little secret that I've experiment in the past ( with the meme lance even ). I discovered that Bloodless, the trait that stop the escalading bleed from light to medium/heavy, have a secret effect : it also negates any medium or heavy bleeding. By this, I mean that every weapons, traps, grenades that normally inflict medium or heavy bleeding, will just apply a light bleeding. I ''accidentaly'' stabbed multiple times a teamate with the bomb lance, and it would go strait to the heavy bleeding. Maybe I am confuse about how the bleeding mechanic works, but this might be even more of a counter to bleeding ammo.

Ok, here is a lodout that could be interesting, one I have nikcnamed the Gambler- Specter or Terminus with a upercut and derringer. God teir in close quarters, hit them with the shoty and wipe out the derringer if you run out of shoty ammo. Guys see you got a shotgun and playing mid range, upercut is no sneezing mater ( could use a pax instead of an uper, still good damege).

So I run bleeding on my specter by default, it has a tight spread and the range is WAY TOO FAR and inflicts bleeding. It's also a great audio cue for if you can rush to tap em again. Also the amount of post death trades is insane. EX: When you're extracting in the water by cyprus huts, you can ping and start bleeding people that are on the wood of the compound.

Since Bone Briar dropped on Consoles, Im rocking the "Bone Briar" Bayonet Specter with Flechette and it ROCKS! Hit some dolch dude that had a Crown, just below the one hit kill range but the bleed made him die anyway 0,5 seconds after the hit. Love it, and great Clips Mike. Schofield or Pax for the sidearm with the Springfield? I’ve always gone Pax but the Schofield feels really solid yet a bit slow for my liking but it’s saved my ass with a two shot kill a few times so far so I’m torn.

Spitfire is stronger than the Pax imo (with FMJ). But if you want to make bleed builds, then the pax is better for more ammo.
