For survival maps, especially with additional build power and starting eco, I have taken to building the T1 mexes, putting a hive in the middle of them all, and then upgrade-pause to T2 and again to T3. The hive will only do one at a time, has no pathing problems, you don't need to queue up the orders, and with build power mods has enough build power to mass stall. The coms can build storage and start going for RAS (out of range of the hive so it doesn't help there instead). It makes for an extraordinarily easy and efficient way to scale up the mass.

So, I'm on the final mission of the UEF campaign in Normal mode. I've built a _large_ amount of spare economy and defenses in phase 1... and I wanna see if I can't grab an Aeon T3 worker. If, just maybe, they've got a *Paragon.* Don't think it'll work though. I'll have to make do with my existing infrastructure; build one or two Mavors as soon as Phase 3 begins. Maybe some gunships to deal with the tidal wave of Monkeylords.

As i will always said to a SC player, never allow your arti auto-attack, either order them to continuously bombard an area or specifically appoint a target for them. Scathis without the command to bombard an area will no doubt wreck your shield and base (if friendly fire was on) or waste their rounds (when friendly fire was off) in this type of survival game.

Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends - The Unloved Sequel to a beloved RTS. It's mostly RTS, but has Hero Units, very interesting factions that differ heavily from each other, a strategic map (when playing the campaign) and a nice sci-fy/steampunk/fantasy theme going on. Maybe not the most strategically complex game, but certainly a very entertaining and interesting one.

I think Paragons should not be allowed in these kinds of scenarios. Of course the scenario should also be designed with that in mind (be less tough on higher levels). See, once you got a Paragon up and running it's all about ramping up build capacity and spamming experimentals. With the cost factor gone you won't need any strategy at that point, unit composition doesn't matter much etc.
