Ik that Jin K said something about wanting to do a seinen manga detailing the lives of the School Rumble characters when they’re all grown up, but besides the one shot chapter we haven’t gotten that Seinen manga he’s mentioned so maybe in a future it could happen. SR is his passion project so I doubt he’d just forget about the series that kicked off his career. Here’s to hoping guys!

My biggest concern is that it's been too long. School Rumble ended a decade ago, and everyone has kind of forgotten about it. People just don't remember the show or the great characters. We still haven't gotten physical release of the final School Rumble Manga volumes, Funimation hasn't released a Blu-Ray version of the Anime, and the School Rumble Reddit only has 300 people who follow it. Meanwhile, the Toradora! Reddit is still active with over 15,000 followers, despite being a much shorter series, with only one season of an Anime and only handful of memorable characters. [still great series though] I want to see more of School Rumble, but I'm just afraid everyone has forgotten about it except us.

I too share that level of passion and while I have not been there since the beginning, I know that it has been years now and I still find myself checking on everything to see if there has been any updates because I love this series. It was by pure luck that I found out about this series after watching an ad within a dvd set of the anime Shin Chan that I bought. SR still stands as a favorite of mine to this day. It's sad that there's little talk about it since the reddit page is sort of low key and the youtube videos were watched by thousands who just forgot about it. I'm just glad there are people like you who still give hope to us fans that were greatly impacted by this series. I hope one day JK will hear us out since I've seen fans from even Mexico who know about this series. Also, the song Ginga Ensen '05 from the extra class episode is the most beautiful and relatable thing I've ever heard.

I am optimistic that Kobayashi wasn’t discouraged by the lack of attention the special chapters had. He might be going through a phase in his personal life. He might even need all that time and energy to refill his creativity for writing and art. So he can use his experiences as an adult to create the satisfying adult School Rumble narrative we always wanted.
