Hi Ray, we spent a couple of days in Worthing recently when we went to see Leo Sayer who was performing at the Assembly Hall. Had a great time eating ice cream while wandering around and enjoyed a nice meal at Enzo's. Leo mentioned that he spent much of his youth in and around the area and that the Mexican Discotheque mentioned in the song 'Moonlighting' was actually about a ballroom and coffee bar called The Mexican Hat in Worthing which is no longer there. The girl in the song was the daughter of the chief of police and the lyrics mention Montague Street! Maybe it was one of your haunts? Thanks for the mini tour around your town.

The pier is closed because they found an issue with the pier's supports, it may be a while before it is open again.

'Lee-doe' is the correct pronunciation. There's a great Chinese owned fish and chip shop by West Worthing station. Have you tried that for comparison?

@@resnonverba137 I do like Chinese chips. If ever we have a Chinese takeaway, I always have chips with it. I don’t know how they cook them, but they are amazing.

@@raysrants Ha! You haven't tried the shop I refer to. Their fish and chips are as traditional as they come and are delicious. Can't comment on price.
