I had bought several knifes from you Curtis. I know your in heaven now. Rest in peace Sir. Your a real nice man, as I remember talking to you on the phone. It is so true the saying, "only the good die young." ❤🕊️♥️

You are one of the first retailers that I found that not only has these great axes in stock, but you also allow your customers to request handle colors and makers marks. Super cool, which is why I chose Omaha Knife to purchase my new GB axe. Very excited!

You’re timing is unbelievable! I was typing a comment about the lack of a metal wedge in the model 420 I just purchased when you explained why it not used anymore. Anyway good to know you’re around. Thanks for all the good info!

Looking a bit like a fashion show to me ;) At the end, these are simply tools, handmade, but tools. Anyway, thanks for detailed description of individual characteristics, great.

It baffles me how people can be so particular about these axes. I just picked one up and I bought it because of reliability... at the end of the day it's a tool that is built to be used. The internet is loaded with beautifully crafted wall hangers but these axes have one purpose and that is to be used and abused without failure very nice video

I thought I was the only one who is grain crazy on the handles. I am so bad I would classify I have a disorder of grain. I buy two and three axes of the same just to have the different grains and colors Curtis is highlighing on this cool video. No kidding Curtis some of my axes I just look at and buy then to hold them in the hand. This store had just the axe handles you could shop as well when stopping in when blazing across 80 in Nebraska on a Cabelas run.

I wish I could make it to your store and pick an axe myself! If I order online, can I have someone pick the type of grain and initials I am looking for?

Great Video, this shows your enthusiasm/passion and that you care for the product. I have a question if I may, you seem to be Knowledgeable about Gransfors Axes and I have noticed that some small forest axes show Gransfors Bruk on the Handle and some show Gransfors Bruks (notice the S on Bruk), ps. all the ones you showed were in the video had Bruk which matched the cardboard box, Do you know the reason for this? many thanks

If you start picking your axe based on the color of the handle I question if you really need an axe.
@mattosgood75733 жыл бұрын
Handle color and shape are easy to modify, But then again most people don't actually know how to use or maintain tools properly🤙

The GRÄNSFORS-BRUKS SMALL FOREST HATCHET has been designed for specific purposes, such as de-branching tree trunks. My former landlord from Germany, who sold firewood as a sideline, only used such a hatchet to grasp the already reduced tree trunks and lift them up. That was all. He had a hydraulic splitter to split the thick tree trunks. In other words, the Gränsfors small forest axe is only for smaller tasks. What this gentleman from "Omaha Knife" does is a beauty pageant.

This video is a joke, they are axes if you worry about the colour of the handle you shouldn't be in the business of selling them it's pathetic. Plus looking at your hands you haven't done a days worth of axe use in your life.

kinda interesting to see how they vary, thanks for showing. i liked as well the honesty in the comments, even though repeating the word "cool". what i disliked is that its some very long advertisement video for your store and the often, loud coughing without excusing nor trying to cough quieter. unpolite behavior, sorry.

Ok I appreciate that there are a lot of axes in your store and you offer a lot of cosmetic info here but this is a perfect example of what happens right before quality control of a manufacturer goes to sh^t. Who are you marketing to? Hipsters? “This one looks cool” “This one is boring”. “This one is ok but it doesn’t get me excited” It’s like watching some indoor dude talk about interior decorating. God kill me if I ever go in a store and pick out an axe this way. I thought we were going to get a review in QC consistency or something. Had to do the best I could on my own with the volume muted. No offense but your hands are as soft as my grandmas and I don’t think you must know much about swinging an axe. Marketing a historically good small axe to a certain crowd that is looking for a fashion statement.... that’s what this is. This isn’t meant to be mean. Use the criticism constructively.

Nobody buying a granfors bruk axe will ever use it to cut wood. They'll use their 10 buck harbor freight hatchet to get wood for their campire to keep their granfors bruk in mint condition
@TwoFeetDown924 жыл бұрын
yootoobactname yoo I must be the exception haha, I’ve got about 50 trees on my American felling axe, felling and bucking. I’ve got hundreds of miles in about 20-30 trips on my small forest axe. I use the shit out of them, but so also know how to maintain and hand a handle if needed. I buy Gränsfors because the quality is there. But I also agree with the dude above you, I don’t pick an axe because it looks pretty. I pick one with tight and numerous grain, reasonably straight, if the head is hung properly etc etc. I bought both of them from Omaha knives and both have been pretty good. Tip front the old timers, boiled linseed oil.. Once a day for a week, once a week for a month once a year for the rest of its life. You can really tell the users from the “fanboys” through that nice Patina you get. Oh and the hands haha

“It’s kinda cool but not awesome. That one’s nothing exciting. It’s not as cool looking. It’s not the most awesome. This one’s a little more cool. That one’s kinda boring. The other side’s not as cool looking. That one’s kinda boring. That one’s ok looking. Half are on the cool side. Half are boring. To me that one’s boring. It’s not awesome looking. It’s two-tone. Personally I don’t like two-tone. That one it’s ok.. it’s not exciting. This two-tone is distracting to me. It’s kinda plane looking. It’s just a piece of wood. We have found some that are boring, but not ugly.” Ahhhh, they’re all $&@! Never mind.... worst salesman ever. Only descriptive adjective he knows is “cool” . Who hired this guy?
