Dr. Huey Newton is a hero who taught black people about their true history. He was educated and very intelligent. He is a legend... let's keep his spirit alive.😊

I admire Fredrika for keeping the BPP and Huey’s legacy alive after all she’s been through. 💐✊🏽💔😢 praying for peace and prosperity for Fredrika and her son. Rest in Peace Huey. Your legacy lives on! This is so heartbreaking and enraging at the same time. Praying for liberation, justice, reparations, peace and prosperity for Afro Americans! 🙏🏽🪬💚

He had a brilliant mind. He did some great things, not alone though. Him as all great crusaders do were surrounded by other brilliant minded people. The free lunch and breakfast programs in schools, he started at least the principals of them. The WIC program for pregnant women, was a brain child of his and the organization that he was a part of. The BPP was a political force in the Oakland area that could not be ignored. THEY BROKE HIM AND HIS ORGANIZATION, the powers that be. I PRAY that he's at PEACE THIS DAY, something that eluded him in life🌹

August 22nd needs to be a national holiday for OUR PEOPLE and anyone else that chooses to participate.. But at least for us. Our children should not be starting a new school year and we should not be clocking in at any job on that day..

NEVER use "controversial" when speaking of Black revolutionaries vs White status quo. It is ALWAYS understood without a statement Original member of the Black Panther Party.
