International Women’s Week and I’m so excited to be working with a young female entrepreneur whose ethically sourced, sustainable blankets are like no other.
This is a paid-for collaboration with Forestry Wool, and each blanket ordered comes with a free wool comb, which is great for keeping the blanket fresh and pull-free (handy for any wool clothing pieces too). The wool is from New Zealand, but the company is based in The Netherlands, and there are no DUTIES or customs charges for sending to the UK.

With the wool blanket Jo, I would recommend once summer arrives and it’s too hot to use, I would defiantly clean it, put some lavender drops on it and store it in a vacuum bag till winter. Suggesting this because I know you have had problems with moths eating your favorite clothes and that blanket would be a nice gourmet meal for the moth larvae to much on and you don’t want a mothademic on your hands😄🦋🍽️ x

Dear Jo, you are such a trooper but I completely understand your dilemma. I am nearly 62 and worked in hospitality for many years which meant strange hours but I really could not work late at night now and wouldn't want to. You are so clearly a morning person - I remember how happy you used to be in your vlogs when setting off for a crack of dawn yoga class, filling your day and then naturally winding down for a reasonable bed time. You are a lark not an owl. I feel your asthma is moving you to the right decision for you - your health and happiness is everything and a daytime radio show would be so much better for you. You looked wonderful in the pink trouser suit Jo that colour really suits you and the tailored cut was magnificent! I also loved the wool throw - a very classy and cosy addition to the sofa. My only advice (for what it’s worth) about work is please think about it carefully and make sure you are financially secure enough to make the change (and also that you have things in place to keep you busy). You have to listen to your body though and ultimately you will know when the time is right. Whatever you decide your followers are behind you cheering you on xx

Jo, I totally understand where you are coming from. When my kids were younger I waitressed in the evening, and often didn't get home until the early hours. I was a lot younger than and was always exhausted. So, doing what you do at your age is amazing. Be proud of yourself you are such a great ambassador for the mature woman xx ❤️

After ending up on an oxygen machine in hospital a few months ago, I was diagnosed with adult-onset asthma. Totally out of the blue and with no previous breathing issues. I am 60, not working, flying solo and wondering what to do for the best. Money is v tight but my health comes first. I feel strongly that quality of life is what counts most. Wishing you the best in making your own decisions. It's not easy. gillian

Jo l too have done shift work. I’m a nurse. It’s really hard on your health and lifestyle. If you can cope without work, think about a change. You never know what is around the corner. But just do what is right for you.

Jo, you already know the answer & that is you need to slow down a tad. We have to listen to what our bodies are telling us for future health. The obvious would be to reduce your radio time or retire that career, you'll know what to do & what you're body needs to get a little more rest. Its not easy stepping back, I did a year & a half ago from doing hair for 38 years & owning a salon & spa for 27 yrs. I was so busy & had body pain for the last 5 yrs of my career but knew it was time to close that chapter. It was a heart wrenching decision. Of course I miss my work friends but love my new schedule,/non schedule. Best of luck!

I wish I could reach out across the pond and give you the biggest hug. My husband and I constantly have this conversation these days about retirement looming and making changes. Health is everything.
