Congrats! And keep it! From what I have read, only about 250 Meriva VRX's in total were sold in the UK and 125 of those are still on the road.

@@projectfearn Yeah can imagine. A mate of mine had a Zafira VXR which went like absolute stink. I honestly thought he added the VXR badges on for a laugh when I first saw it - how very wrong I was! Enjoy the car fella!

Only around 250 made & I have an Arden Blue one with 125k on the clock and the rare Monochrome Sat Nav Unit. It needs a little TLC & disappointed when I was forced o fit replacement alloys a few years due to a large rock irrepairablely damaging one of the original alloys- couldn't source a replacement at that time. Was also disappointed that I had to fit an alternative tailpipe when the exhaust needed replaced, as again I could not source an original tailpipe. Anyhow, being a very rare car this will undoubtedly become a classic car in the not too distant future with less than 200 of them still on the road :-)

If you want a project car I'll trade you my Ardern Blue one 😉 I fell in love with my old silver standard Meriva and managed to acquire a VXR one about a year ago. She's mostly alright but got a few issues. I just haven't the money to spend on her that she deserves.

Yup, they really made those. Sadly enough Opel Netherlands wouldn't import it to the Netherlands (would have cost a fortune anyway because of the high CO2 tax they would have made you pay for it)!

When the meriva b came out they had convinced everyone small engine cars were the future along with low road tax etc. 😎

They are very rare. There is only 1 presently for sale on Autotrader which is the same colour as this. Was hoping to see some Arden blue cars.

Only I dislike is relay locations under dashboard. Horrible job to do, since I done that from customer car. Indicator relay is huge common fault on Meriva A

You can't get them new anymore so it's either a breakers yard or a custom exhaust 🙏

Nice! There's not enough meriva vxr content on KZbin 👍 i did an oil n filter change on mine last night after watchin just gone 80k bin smashing the miles onit. sounds like ur up north. Anywhere near Leeds? Have a couple here ones running spot on and the other has knocking. Needs a rebuild 😅 may help?

I pray the knocking on mine isn't a rebuild and it something else. It's sounds more of a pulley noise but I will soon find out. I'm in Bolton pal 👍

Yeah. I don't know what causes the piston 4 issue but mine has had just an elderly owner. Every tax disk up until it came off the road in 2015 is stamped disabled. I'm not saying this doesn't mean it hadn't been ragged about but I'm just hoping it's something of nothing. 🤞
