First time I’ve seen a conversion with 2 lifts. It shows it can be done. Given the frequency of breakdowns of lifts in general and the sheer cost of this extravagance, it would unfortunately be out of most peoples price budgets. However this must be noted that a choice of entry and exit points is revolutionary in terms of access depending on parking availability. Thanks for sharing.

It is indeed a splendid conversion and very popular. We do the same conversion on our Mercedes-Benz Vito. Both are on the Motability scheme.

It would be illegal to ride in a vehicle with such low head clearance in the USA. Are rules so relaxed in Europe, or am I missing something? One wrong move, or a dip in the road, and you can break your neck! O_o

That’s something I noticed as well. Her head is actually above the roofline. This is indeed dangerous and defies common sense. The only way to overcome this would be the ability to transfer from your wheelchair into a car seat. I appreciate it’s not possible for everyone to do this, however safety must be the number one priority.

You can see around the car in this video allowing you to look from the rear wheelchair position. This car allows you to sit in row three, two or upfront as a passenger or driver.

Agree. It’s not about more headroom it’s about a lower floor. A higher headroom doesn’t change the angle of the windscreen. If you look at this wheelchair users head it’s above the roofline and into the sunroof area.

The video does not show how the girl gets into the car from the ramp. I believe she had to bow her head. This means that if she were on an electric wheelchair that is higher than the active one, she would not be able to go in at all.@@lewisreedwheelchairaccessi2762
