This is getting meta... looking at a video of a book about Legos! Well done!

This is how Legos were in those days, I'm surprised to see so few colors these sets used, blue, red, yellow, white, green, black and grey, but that's what they had in those days and it was enough, today, there are dozens more! What nostalgia, and to think, what the right parts, anyone could recreate all these sets again, I especially loved the space sets, very cool! Probably because they used a lot of blue, my favorite color.

That page of robots made me remember all the Lego robots that we made. My little brother was 10 years younger and I could really impress him with my robot designs.

You nailed it when you talked about "care". That is maybe one of the Key-Elements i miss today. Nowadays everything just tries to look fancy and shiny and usually breaks apart the day the warranty is over...everything has to be as cheap as possible so companys can earn more money...today they just say: "such a book will make us sell "X" amount of stones and will cost us "X+20" to make...no sorry!"... but if you take it and look at it now...maybe it is just me getting nostalgic and all, but i can amost feel the love/joy and ideas the people had when they build those scenes and took the pictures just to get "us kids" to work, use our own heads and be creative. We had such a blast to be young than! I pitty the Kids today honestly! P.S. : SPACESHIP!!!!

9:00 The ancestral forefathers of the modular building. Looks already like a quite realistic street site. Especially the building on the far right. 20:53 I guess that's where the Nexo Knights came from.

Okay, it's freaky how much that first city building in Step 10 looks like a mini Octan factory. Saw-tooth roof and adjacent smoke stack. Uncanny!

Very very cool retro Lego stuffs!! Thanks for keep on with those great IdeaBooks, Jang! At some time, can you show all the books that you've reviewed (and some more, if you can find them) all together? May be interesting to see the progression in the designs.

There were a number of experiments done with fans on F1 cars; not to make them fly, obviously, but to actually suck the car to the track so it could go faster without spinning off it. The most controversial was the 1978 Brabham BT46, driven by the almost suicidally ballsy Niki Lauda for only one race with great success before it was banned...because these things were completely insane. It's kind of neat to see this "fan car" concept show up in a Lego catalog almost a decade later. f1.imgci.com/PICTURES/CMS/8200/8228.jpg

I noticed you mentioning that those cypress trees are getting expensive so I checked the price on those things... 10 euro's each!! What?!? I recently picked up 2 or 3 of these in a batch of old lego's, 10 kg for only a 100 euro's, that deal just got better!
