Wow...okay, will have to look into this magazine. It will fill the space left by the end of ILLUSTRATION magazine, which I loved for years but which ceased publication a couple of years ago.

Fantastic,beautiful art work .The magazines are more of an art book . First time experiencing . I remember,that iconic art work, of the Martian in the key hole . From the Frederic Brown story😂😂.The variety of art ,themes,styles and artist are eye opening .Some thing for every one .Who can forget the Warren mags, Eerie, Creepy, Vampirella .11:03 Ellison or a look alike ?.Tarzan fan here .First time hearing about Triagan .Have read Prince Valiant. Good story with some great art .Thanks for the show and tell .

Seems like I bought a few early issues years ago at Barnes and Noble and after a bit I noticed they were no longer available there. 😥 So now I have to be satisfied with the digital editions, the physical issues being too expensive and the expense of postage to the US also prohibitive... 11:22 ... yep, I can smell it through the video, the publisher did not scrimp on quality!!!

@@hurdygurdyguy1 barnes and noble also caŕried a us publication with a title something like illustration. The trade dress almost looked the same. It featured mostly pulp paperback and magazine illustrators. I dont know if that mag is still around.

They might have stopped stocking them. Very high quality magazine.

@@jeffreyskinkus6154 yep, I bought as many of those as I could... the publisher, Daniel Zimmer tried two other magazines, Illustration '05 - The Journal of Contemporary Illustration and ILLO. Both only saw a few issues .... and yes, the original Illustration magazine is no longer being published but iirc some back issues are still available...

Somehow i got the frank bellamy issue. A great magazine that reminded how disappointed i was in the heros book. Formatted badly they took a great strip that was printed originally with no gutter in that tabloid format and they gave it a gutter.

That masthead design is bewilderingly bad. It makes the magazine look cheap and insubstantial. Especially when compared to... the Illustrated press's 'Illustration' magazine logo.

It's certainly doesn't feel cheap, quite the opposite. As for the design, it will be interesting to see if any other comments mention this.
