I definitely think the Dune Swallower is teasing Cho'Gath, LoR has been recently focusing on Titanic followers with the past card expansions and patch notes, so Cho would fit right in with the titanic packages

If i had to guess, i would say the dune swallower is teasing at cho gath, mainly because of the in game ability of the swallower, it eats 3 of your units or your mana, that's something i can really see cho caring about, not only that but the lore of the expansion is nilah fighting against monster, the sea monster in p&z and the volibear in the freiljord, so i can see her going to shadow isles and then to shurima and finding cho gath there.

Gnar is the only one still alive in present time, cuz he got hibernated in ice, his species got extinct. Lor usually teases champions many expensions before they are actually released. Ornn for example appeared in the art of a poro in 2021 and was released only in the darkin saga, a year later. So the chemtech drake could still be a nod to singed, or even warick, since there's already an augmented cat that's thought to be a tease for them

One thing to keep in mind, we already got Janna, Nilah, and Volibear. So a new champion from those regions are much less likely. Also, some teases for champions happen more than a set before the champ comes out. Ornn was teased on a poro card way before he released.

In the ending of the last trailer for this expansion, nilah is shown headed to the shadow isles! Maybe we'll go to camavore and get the runeterran dragon there! Elder dragon would be cool to Go morgana and hopefully sylas is right behind!

Little theory, for the Chemtech drake, that instead of Renata or Singed, it might tease Warwick and cards that are themed around "augmented beasts" such as Warwick and the chemtech drake, just other animals or creatures that are also augmented

you forgot Shyvana and Jarvan IV's baby dragon. it was already mentioned in new champ releases, you talked about it yourself. it would be nice to introduce it first in LOR before in LOL . plus The Kingfisher speaks of what's leaving behind. Shyvana left Demacia to build a safe home for dragons, we could be getting a new Runeterran champion.

I just wanna say this, the dune swallower has an eriee resembelance to another void monster we already have, while not exact to his design the dune swallower could be a lesser variant of cho'gath, similar to how the xer'sai are lessers of rek'sai, could be hinting at either cho coming to lor, or possibly the long awaited cho'gath rework (after all, we already got a bit of a tease earlier in the year)

The regions that are missing champions this year are bandle city, shadow isles, targon and demacia. So Xin Zhao, Morgana and mordekaiser could all join the game but mordekaiser would be an SI card, which would fit thematically but it's a bit weird since he is from noxus.

I'm hoping the Chemtech Drake is a teaser for Warwick. He got that cat card a while back that was augmented with chemtech, which was obviously teasing Warwick imo, so I think the drake could be a part of Warwick's followers as a sort of, "fellow sufferer of experimentation" thing.

Also, wanted to postulate this - that Shurima Dune Swallower is very on-brand for Cho’gath. Enormous Void creature that Devours/ Swallows things. Gonna bet it’s a Cho that becomes Titanic through some kind of Slay mechanic. Just have to differentiate it from Nasus somehow and it fits very well with the new card.

The last remaining regions in LOR that hasnt have a champion is Demacia, Bandle City , Shadow Isle and Targon. Last expansion the game had Nilah. She travels around runeterra had the blessing of Janna and fought Volibear now she is heading to Shadow Isle. Since Nilah battles Gods it would probably Mordekaiser Morgana and Sylas

The current Legends of Runeterra expansion continues Nilah's adventure where she challenges mighty beasts/foes. Seeing that there are multiple dragons in regions that didn't have any dragons previously in the game makes Elder Dragon with Runeterran origin a big candidate for next champion. Dune Swallower is way more akin to something like Cho'gath who is another massive voidborn that collects information by eating. Way more likely champion candidate than Malzahar since Nilah is going after monsters. Another candidate could be Bel'veth, but Dune Swallower would be a very unorthodox way of teasing a more aquatic themed void being. The Kingfisher seems way more like a good variety card than anything else. I agree that it could tease someone like Xin Zhao who could be themed around supporting other champion cards as a bodyguard, but the theme of the expansion doesn't support this. The Shadow Isles cards teasing Mordekaiser seems the most obvious. Though I'm not too excited that he'd play second fiddle in Nilah's expansion, he being one of the next 3 champions makes the most sense. The Targon card teasing Morgana is also very likely, even if it goes against the "Nilah's monster hunt" theme. She could assist Nilah just like Janna did in part 1 of the expansion. My bet is on Elder Drake, Mordekaiser and Morgana.

Not really sire on when the date for this is supposed to be and also not sure if they would do something like release a champ on runeterra first and then league immediatly after/a layered or simultaneous release. Like I said though, not sure how these things fit in time wise as I think Hwei is next up to be released and then the new dragon baby thing?

I really hope they add more sea monsters to legends of Runeterra... that is, if it means Bilgewater includes sea monster hunting mechanincs in the MMO :D That is the only thing I am pretty damned sure won't be in Ghot's MMO since a vast ocean in a shard might be hard to explain, but I guess it depends how big the shards are.
