What a beautiful native plant garden! Thank you for filming and sharing it with us. Do you know how often Debbie prunes back the plants in her garden, and what time of year?
@BeanThereDugThat8 ай бұрын
Hi! So glad you enjoyed it - thanks for letting me know :-) As a general rule, prune back plants after they've finished flowering. Many of the natives hear flower in late summer and into autumn. So pruning would be in spring. Best to avoid the peak of summer for any hard pruning :-)

A very nice garden, I have native garden front and backyard. I haven't gone to crushed stone paths but is a nice touch.

Your garden sounds beautiful too! The crushed stone does sound nice under foot and help keep your feet / shoes clean :-)

Love this garden! You mention the berries of an Ash tree, is this blueberry ash? It's on my tentative plant list and I'd love some insight before committing.
@BeanThereDugThat9 ай бұрын
No it's not a blueberry ash (Elaeocarpus reticulatus) - this was an English Ash (Fraxinus)

I hate the words "low maintenance"
@BeanThereDugThat9 ай бұрын
Better than people asking for “no maintenance” gardens 😱 aka fake grass and plastic plants!!!
@Oatmilllk2 ай бұрын
Some people have disabilities, ageing bodies or big commitments where they are unable to constantly maintain a garden. I think those types of gardens are for them
