The name of the tune is LA Expressions and was in Maynard’s book initially....Poor Lin, he formed a big band in January 1974 as the recession and gas shortage was in full swing...the band didn’t last but a minute due to lack of $$$$$ but at least he tried...the band had good players too like Wayne Naus and John DeFlon...when Lin recorded this track, his chops were cut and he used a 6A4a that Bill Chase gave him

I saw him play live in Toronto in the 70’s when he played with Buddy Rich, Maynard Ferguson and Count Basie

Didn’t he play with Lawrence Welk? I heard the story of him falling off the stage on live national tv.
