We used to have big 1v1 tournaments on TBC private servers, with good players like Rivah, Azie, Scopemeup etc. The fun thing about the duels thou, was that EVERYTHING was allowed.

If you have mates that can lock down the target long enough without them having any escape tool then yes frostbolt isnt a dps loss. Most classes cant do 2.5-3sec casts without the target also being cc'd

Its a myth that warlock should easily beat mage 1v1. It stems from 2v2 arena with healer. In a situation where there is no los obstacle mage with 2 blocks and 2 pets should win vs warlock

Youre actually asleep at the wheel. Warlocks have more sustain + mage killer pet. They can usually outlive your burst. The only reason xaryu makes it look that way is because hes mastered mage.
