Magical girl anime and henshin hero shows both have way too many items modelled after modern tablets and cell phones these days. Bring back the buttons and cranks.

Eh, it makes sense when you think about it. Generally, you'd like to camouflage your gear or make it usable for more than just transforming (communicating, research, etc.)
@CooperGal244 ай бұрын
PreCure had two seasons where the tablets and cellphones were used as transformation items: Hugtto PreCure and Doki Doki PreCure. I’m not counting the phone from the Yes! PreCure 5 GoGo season, because that was more of a flip phone and not the cellphone we have today. I get your point about the tablets and phones as transformation items, but as long as they’re well designed and fits with a certain theme of the anime series, then it’s doable. I think one of the live action magical girl series had a video game theme, with the transformation items being based on handheld video games, like Nintendo 3DS, Gameboys and more. Honestly, I’m waiting for the day that a magical girl anime series is made with a video game theme, or one with an artists/cartoonists theme or whatever. The possibilities are endless when it comes to magical girl anime.

Depends tbh. Just because you see a lot of adults complain doesn't mean like 90% of the sales are from children who aren't going to keep it for a long time. Maybe they could invest in higher quality collector versions though but that'd be a financial risk too.

And my god, I see what you mean about the Motto transformation, it's fun and poppy, but the Sharp transformation is too good to me. Motto has the best outfits (though I still love the sharp outfits, less so the magical stage version of them), the best wand design, and the best store (first one being in second in my opinion) but that Sharp transformation is everything to me. The clacking of what I've always associated with the castanholas as they hit and transform is nothing short of amazing and iconic.

if an old toy is sticky, it’s likely that the plasticizer is leaking. if you’re up to it, washing it off every time it gets sticky should help, but as far as i know there is no way to permanently fix this. this can spread to other toys though, so it’s best practice to keep sticky toys like this away from other toys so their plasticizer doesn’t leak. feel free to do your own research as there is lots of information about plasticizer on the internet!!

I've seen toy/electronics restorers reduce or even sometimes remove yellowing entirely on older products by putting some sort of cream on them and leaving them under a UV light (or sometimes just putting them outside if they live in a sunny enough area). I'm not sure how well that works with that specific kind of pink plastic but it might be worth looking into for the ones that are aging worse? They look so cool and I know as a kid I would have loved to get anything from the show even if anything I bought then would be Magical Doremi items (But legit my nostalgia and love for it is so strong I wouldn't be against it). So seeing what has happened to these over the years is absolutely tragic! Still it's nice to see some in good condition. For me I would really like to see if I could ever find a season 1 styled wand preferably Doremi's one since it's legit my favorite magical girl wand. Also if I may, thank you for just continuing to spread the word of watching Ojamajo Doremi. It's legit a show with such a special place in my heart, which while Pretty Cure might've overtaken by now in terms of rankings (I still love Doremi with a passion though!), it's a show I wish more talked about. Heck just hearing your mention elements of the wizard subplot (MY PERSONAL FAVORITE STORYLINE) and the Former Witch Queen Subplot (The best storyline) made me have a huge smile on my face! So thank you very much! :)

It mostly comes up with me when talking about the start of Pokemon & just how annoyed outsiders were with the marketing. Magical transformations items before: A lock (Shugo chara) A key who became a beautiful wand (Card captor sakura) Cute bracelets who are also watches (Yes precure 5) Magical transformations a bit later: A cell phone (In Yes 5 gogo, Fresh precure and Doki doki precure) A tablet (Hugto precure) It's not very magical or special to transformed with a phone 😐

when you said the toys were here for a good time, not a long time, I cackled out loud! Love this video!
