Okay if you’ll allow me to nerd out a bit. For newer fans of this series *proceed with caution because I will go into spoilers about the show* • 0:04 The disclaimer has the titular Madoka looking curiously at it while to her right you can see Kyubey. He’s wearing a baseball cap that is referencing Boyfriend. The art style also looks like it’s mimicking a labyrinth which is very fitting for Madoka and Kyubey *GF MG TRANSFORMATION* • 0:44 Her weapon that comes with her magical girl form. This is in reference to Boyfriend who raps with opponents to win battles. The selection sound effect from the original game (Friday Night Funkin’) also plays faintly in the background. Suggesting that GF is choosing to be a magical girl. • 0:45 - 0:51 Here it is shown that GF has roses in her transition as a MG. Roses represent romance in media and this could be in reference to her love for BF. Though that’s mere speculation. The art style here also suggests she may become a witch later down the line. She also emerges from the two roses the sprout beside her representing her two sides. The one where she’s a background character in her native game and the one where she is a focal point in this mod. This can also be a reference to Mami since in her rebellion transformation she emerges from a yellow flower. • 0:55 - 0:58 After she emerges from the rose GF is split into two. One of her is kneeling down while the other is standing straight and tall. To the sides I mentioned earlier. She also merges with them. A reference to Sayaka’s transformation in rebellion where she does a similar thing. *Note: I couldn’t find any Homura rebellion transformation references so please do feel free to reply if you find any* • 1:01 This pose is cute and also possibly a Madoka Rebellion transformation reference. • 1:12 The art is probably here to look cool. Although the logo is in the font of the original logo of the show. And Homura is the only serious character here. Alluding to her impact in the series as a whole. • 1:31 The UI is a direct reference to the UI in Madoka Portable. A PSP portable game of the same series. That is a whole other can of worms but TLDR it’s you can explore different timelines where there are different endings. Some of which feature the girls’ (minus GFs) witches. • 1:35 This is a reference to Homura’s time travel shenanigans in the show. The reverse button is an allusion to her reversal of time. • 1:38 Here GF is in a #1 FNF demon cup. It’s just a cute call back to her origins • 1:42 Cute GF artwork where she speaks about her daily life outside of being a MG. One of which includes a cute drawing of Kyubey. How adorable! • 1:46 Here Kyubey is wearing a hardhat and in a little cog while Homura is in the background looking exhausted. This is reference to Homura constantly trying to yeet him off the mortal realm. And failing miserably every time • 1:51 The background is in reference to the opening sequence of the titular show. • 2:24 Hard mode has Homura holding a pewpew to her head. Referring to a rather infamous scene in rebellion. Easy has Madoka looking very shocked at Homura. They both care about each other a lot. • 2:20 All the (current) songs are sung by Sayaka, Madoka and Kyoko respectively. • 2:31 Sayaka’s takes place in Gertrud's labyrinth. The first witch’s labyrinth showcased in the show • 2:42 First instance of Sayaka healing. • 2:58 This is probably just a cool thing that happens in the song at this point. This is a reference to old games possibly a gameboy • 3:41 Sayaka heals again! • 4:38 Again! • 5:18 The end rating is exactly how Magia portable has it. SS* being the highest rank *As pointed out by one of the replies, the actual highest rank is SSS. My bad!* _Magical is the highest tier. This is just a callback to the magical girl roots this mod and the show has Divine is referencing Madoka once again. Becoming a devine being. Grim is self explanatory. Despairful is in reference to how Magical girls fall to despair when their soul gems turns completely dark. BREAK is a reference to soul gems breaking and a witch labyrinth becoming a reality._ • 5:38 They are in Charlotte’s labyrinth. The witch that infamously decapitated Mami. • 7:57 Pills start falling from the celling. This is in reference to Charlotte’s familiars. Who are nurses and little mice assistants. This is because Nagisa (the MG who would become Charlotte) had a mother who was very ill. The mice are in reference to Nagisa’s wish. A single cheesecake. (Much like GFs wish of a doughnut). • 8:30 Sayaka’s waving a glowstick lol • 8:34 So is Mami • 9:12 This time they aren’t in a labyrinth. Instead in the rather infamous alleyway that Sayaka and Kyoko fought in. • 9:35 Kyoko uses her spear! Which notably extends to try and hit GF • 9:47 Again! • 10:01 Again! • 10:08 Again! • 10:13 Again! • 10:25 Again! • 10:34 Again! • 10:49 Again! • 11:00 Again! • 11:12 Again! • 11:19 Again! • 11:24 Again! • 11:35 Again! • 11:49 The battle is getting heated, the two singing from opposite sides. • 12:00 Again! • 12:06 Again! • 12:13 Again! • 12:19 Again! • 13:03 Bonus song which is an homage to the OP of the anime. *Cute little touches* • Kyubey moves his hat when Kyoko attacks GF • The icons actually transition to their respective changes. For example, GFs bleps in her winning icon and Madoka is shocked • In the first song Mami is sitting down using her ribbons as a chair, looking calm. Madoka is sitting down making her gown look like an adorable cupcake! Mami’s sitting down because this was their (Madoka’s and Sayaka’s)day looking at Mami fight a witch. Mami’s probably monitoring them to make sure everyone is okay. • Second song, Mami and Sayaka are standing up. Mami looks excited, this was the labyrinth she died in. But she’s not alone anymore! • Third song, Mami and Sayaka are angry. While Madoka is worried. Paralleling how worried she was in the original series about Sayaka and Kyoko fighting. This was all that I could find reply if I missed out on anything! Incredible job on the mod and best wishes to the team on completing the mod!

The only thing we're changing is GF's wish but everythng else is on point you got everything right I'm impressed! It would be cool to see an analysis of the trailer as well since we show more stuff that's not from the demo!!

I'm a huge Madoka Magica fan so I'm super excited to see an update on the mod! I love the art, especially smug Sayaka If I had just one criticism I'd say the voicing for the dodges in Kyoko's song are a bit jarring, especially the yikes Other than that though this was so cool to see! Looking forward to see more in the future!

Boycott SHAFT and Magia Record for Walpurgisnact Rising to be cancelled. And for the Rebellion sequel be remade into a series instead of a movie. Which includes the other magical girls from the spin-off manga alongside the main cast. And, Mami Tomoe has a boyfriend who would play an important role in the story 💖

I always thought that the funniest ending for Homura is if somehow Mami and Madoka ended up together and Homura suddenly feels like the protagonist from Erased. Or Madoka just comes out as straight lol
