Yeah, and in reality, they are usually 18, 19, 20, 21 years young, or younger. At that time, women did not work out like they do today. So, by the time most women have a child they start to look like hell.

Well worth watching. Yes, it has most of the western cliches but it also has fine acting and some twists that you have probably never seen before. Overall, it deserves a rating of at least 7.5 or maybe even an 8. You won’t feel you waisted your time by enjoying this movie. The music and cinematography were also better than the usual fare.

Every one of these movies has the walking in the desert man, or men, throwing away their csnteens when empty. They are never kept to be refilled if and when possible. They do the same with hats they lose for what ever reason, especially when also in head roasting desert conditions.

It's surprising that Raymond Burr had a relationship for 35 years with his partner, Robert Benevides. One of the best kept secrets in Hollywood but he was still a great actor, especially in Perry Mason and of course, Ironside.

The most watched movie of its time? I strongly doubt that! It came out the same year as "Mr. Roberts," "Guys and Dolls," "Oklahoma!," and "Magnificent Obsession." It's a conventional and watchable film, but it deserves being otherwise obscure and neglected. Best wishes from Vermont 🍁

A Man Alone 1955. Stranded in the desert, gunfighter Wes Steele (Ray Milland) comes across the gory aftermath of a stagecoach robbery in which all the victims were murdered in cold blood. Taking one of the stagecoach's horses to ride into the next town, Steele finds himself accused of the robbery by the hotheaded sheriff's deputy (Alan Hale) while the sheriff (Ward Bond) is ill with yellow fever. With the help of the sheriff's daughter (Mary Murphy), Steele fights to clear his name.

The man first killed his innocent horse that carried him for hundreds of miles and then killed a rattle snake in the desert in its natural habitat and what sort of a name Mary is for a man anyway? But wait he is a kind man too and he fed a hungry cat and her kittens. Anyway to say something positive it’s a good movie even though the plot is very simple. I can’t believe it’s the most watched movie in that time.
