I would have to say, and this is the first time I actually finding myself disagreeing with pastor... on the topic of whether or not money can buy happiness. Can money buy happiness? If by the actual, literal definition of the word happiness, being situational by nature... we derive the context for the point of disagreement or even understanding. I would have to say that question is an overwhelming, irrefutable - yes. Money is a tool, all it does is give you the ability to engage circumstances suspended... Which is the fuel of materialism, understanding, that that is all that is going to give you. What money will never give you is purpose and fulfillment in that purpose... and that's the issue, in clarifying - there is no agency in money, agency comes from the purpose that is derived from planning how to spend the money. The Bible tells us that understanding comes from the heart, so that's where the planning would come from; it is the mind that actualizes it. So, for good or for evil, for right or wrong, the agency is created and purposed from the heart... therefore the heart is the matter. Just thought I would share that. Blessings.
