Growing up in a northern state in the United States, making snow shelters (igloo's) was a seasonal adventure as kids, and as we got older we added more conveniences aka: small stove for heat and cooking, beds insulated with newspaper ... while watching Alex build his snow shelter, he's bringing those forgotten memories back to my imagination .. Thank You Alex !!

I've always wondered and been fascinated how, when you have a fire burning inside the igloo, how it doesn't melt the igloo down. I know there is some kind of scientific explanation. (Yes, I googled - mostly told me how it keeps it warm inside it to keep the people warm, but not why it doesn't melt the igloo.) I just know that I see snow + fire and think .... melted ice (water).
