Yes yes make more! I taught myself the whole thing except for the very last part just by watching youtube videos of her and covers (first song for me on guitar so it took a while) and already your video corrected a couple of things. Make an instruction video fro the rest of the song, please! Nobody else did it! Cheers!

Dude you're welcome so much and I'm so happy you watched. it's crazy man because I'm getting so many comments on this video as of the last few days it's almost like KZbin algorithms started feeding it to people. It's crazy. I don't really have a popular channel so I don't get a lot of traffic. Man I'm so glad that this video helped you and I'm a pretty big dude and I cry all the time. Thank you so much for watching and making the comment. I'll have the video for the second part out in a couple of days

This tutorial was rad! Love love love your attention to detail, something a lot of people really miss when trying to learn music. Especially the bit about accents towards the end of the video. All of those little details are what make the song special, and you nailed it. Keep it up, definitely going to browse the channel after this :) Thank you

Thank you for the kind words and thanks for watching I really mean it. I'm going to do a two-part series on this one. Putting the tab on the screen was the first for me and took a little extra time to do in movie maker. Someone recently told me the out loud video I did was the worst instructional video they've ever seen so it kind of gave me a conscious. Lol

I don't mean to but in and correct you since you're the one making the tutorial that I'm trying to learn, but, I believe you made a mistake at 8:41 with the tablature. On the D string (tuned to C in this case), the tab says to play the 4th fret then slide to the 7th fret. During the rest of the tab, you're marking the frets relative to open tuning, which means it should say 8 instead of 7. I confirmed this by slowing the video and watching closely. Otherwise I've been more than grateful for the tutorial. No song is ever too hard to learn as long as you put effort and practice into your passion!
@ryanguitargodfrey
@ryanguitargodfrey 3 жыл бұрын
Hey I just went up and retuned my guitar to see what you were talking about. At first I thought you were correct but I think my tab is correct. It is definitely confusing with the first fret capo. Ignoring that the capos on the first fret and that becomes zero and the second fret is actually the first fret on my tab and such. Also meaning that 4th fret in my tab is actually the 5th fret on the guitar and the 7th fret on my tab is actually the 8th fret on the guitar. So pretending that the first fret is actually zero The slide actually happens from 2 to 4 and 4 to 7. Which in reality is actually 3 to 5 and 5 to 8. However since all of the numbers are actually n - 1 The tab should say 2 to 4 & 4 to 7. if I'm not making any sense is there anyway we can exchange numbers and I'll talk to you about it. Honestly that would be no problem.
@ronnoc902
@ronnoc902 3 жыл бұрын
@@ryanguitargodfrey You're 100% Correct. My apologies about that. I know what happened. I'm currently struggling at this part specifically on my timing with the slides. Im not able to cope with stringing the hammerons on the g and b strings together with those slides on the d string and my brain kept registering the offset of the capo to my dots on the frets. Interestingly enough, only for that specific note. I'd always love to talk about other parts of the song however if you're still interested. That part is solely up yo you as you've been more than generous with your video, time, and response, but just wanted to say that you're probably one of the best instructors on the platform considering the advantage that larger channels have. Shows that while fancy equipment is super nice to have, it's never instrumental to the overall quality of a lesson. No pun intended there! I would even be willing to pay you for some of the time.
@ryanguitargodfrey
@ryanguitargodfrey 3 жыл бұрын
@@ronnoc902 too kind man thank you and yes I know I need to get better quality recording equipment as my video quality sucks. I make videos with my phone and no I shouldn't be. Hoping I find more followers as I go as I seem to pick up two or three a week. I'm @rytrader4 on Twitter. Hit me up there and you can DM me. I will help you however I can that is no worries at all and not looking to take any of your money man don't even think about that. Even after I get a thousand followers here I doubt I'll be able to make money with this channel because they're really cracking down on copyright videos and all of my lessons are copyrighted because they're someone else's songs lol so in the end this is just all for fun. It's very confusing with the capo and the tablets are trust me I know. Especially since I don't have any visible fret dots on my Takamine natural

Is it a B string in alternative turning? Still confused by that concept. Very good tutorial.
@ryanguitargodfrey
@ryanguitargodfrey 5 ай бұрын
So yes you're correct If you change the tuning of the string it totally will become whatever note it's tuned to. However I only speak like this because the standard tuning of the strings are locked in my head and I assumed that's how most other people are too. I'm not a professional instructor lol. I did my best with this when someone asked me to learn it. I know I keep calling something a B string that's totally not tuned to a be so you just have to bear with me while watching the video lol.

In second part (one at 4:00 mins)from a video i saw her play i think shes not playing B(in standard tuning) string like you and sliding 2/3 3/5 5/7 but she plays G(in standar)sliding from 4/5 5/7 7/9 and other part is is same jsut 4/5 5/7 7/5 at least from this video i watched kzbin.info/www/bejne/a4LEn2ali7Gof8k also it looks like (how she plays e and B in first part ) in second part second time insted of playing A and sliding she plays D too could be wrong but it looks like that to me.
