A Marella Caribbean Cruise Diary (Day 8).

The end of our Paradise Islands cruise and today is the changeover day before we start 'A taste of the Tropics. So today we have a day to enjoy Carlisle Bay in Barbados. We were going to spend some time at the Boatyard but changed our mind as we explain during the video. We also got to see and film the top suites on Marella Voyager. Evening we enjoy the Best of British show 'Britannia' in the Broadway Theatre before going on top deck for the Sail and Shine party. What currency would we need for taste of the tropics?

USD mainly and some Euros for Guadeloupe

Hi Emily, we took dollars and also a small amount of Euro's for Guadaloupe. We didn't spend any Euro, cards are widely accepted everywhere. Be careful not to get change back in their own currency, will be hard to change. Also if you have dollar notes ensure they are not ripped or torn in anyway or they will be unusable. Hi, i'm sorry its got you so worried. Let me just say that at every meal we went to at any of the restaurants we were always asked first if we had any dietary requirements. I don't really know why it went so wrong at the musical afternoon tea. For us it was not serious but when we met with the restaurant manager we made it clear what could have been the consequences of their mistake. I think it was an unfortunate and hopefully rare mix up in our case. If you still have concerns i would ask for a meeting with the Restaurants manager to get some reassurance. We had no problems anywhere else we ate. Hope this helps. 🙂

I get how concerning it must be. I think language barriers with some staff can be difficult. I would try to find the ones who fully understand what you are telling them. @@Barney8954
