Everyone deals with the passing of a loved one differently Max. I lost my dad 40 years ago and my mum 24 years ago. More recently my sister 3 years ago and the way I describe grief is it’s like an unwelcome visitor who just calls in when it wants…. Like you say my lovely “one day at a time” … oh and you do not look horrendous, you’re beautiful with or without your make up… love and hugs to you, Les and the family 💖 xx

I am so sorry for your loss. You do what is right for you. No right or wrong way to grieve. I lost my sis in March. It's like a piece of me was torn off and she took it with her. My heart is broken . Max ,we only have to look at you to see the sadness in your eyes.Having experienced the same loss not too long ago myself i can really empathise. Hi Maxine, first I'm glad your dad is on the mend, it probably took the wind out of him losing the love of his life and also it will take time to get over the grief yourself as you said one day at a time. My birth mother left me a 15 months old long story but I had many mothers. Look after yourself, it was good to see you this evening. xxxxx
