Yes! You recognized the most amazing thing about Benson...HIS LYRICS! i keep thinking when i was 21, i was not thinking maturely like him. Go listen to "In The Stars"(about the death of his grandmother), or "Little Runaway"(written for his sister who suffers from some mental illnesses), or just some gorgeous love songs like "To Love Someone", "Let me Go", or "Before You". He is just a very intuitive person and that makes for great music. ❤

Not sure if you know but the craziest part is that he’s only been singing for about 3-4 years! Go to AM tryouts in 2021. He tried out and made it but then quit because he wanted to gain popularity on his own. (He may have also gotten a private deal) He explains during tryouts that he was only singing at that point for a year. Katy Perry had him pegged for possibly winning the whole thing then.
