Masterpiece agreed! The line “I don’t know what’s got it’s teeth in me but I’m about to bite back in anger” might be the most viscerally visual and powerful lyric I have ever taken in from a song.

Idk the one about the meat freezer and dangling like cold cuts is way more profound and poetic

“And no amount of self sought fury will bring back the glory of innocence” is up there in super poetic lines too. Being angry with yourself won’t take you back in time, it’s a beautiful way to say it

The fact that Vessel says “I’m a winged insect, you’re a funeral pyre” is no different than saying like a moth to a flame, poetically! Stunning lyricism! 🖤🥀

don’t be afraid to say you cried at some point in this album. if anything, crying is a good thing to the album.

I remember the first time I heard The Night Does Not Belong To God I had a solid cry lol

One of the best lyricists I’ve ever heard no joke.. And it doesn’t sound forced at all.

The lyrics "my, my, those eyes like fire / I'm a winged insect, you're a funeral pyre" make me absolutely FERAL Also "I'm a waking hell and the gods grow tired" WHAT also the way they bring back the first verse of Chokehold in the background at the end just before the final breakdown 😭 fucking GENIUS

I lost it when Vessel said “I guess it goes to show, or does it not, that we’ve no idea what we’ve got til we lose it And no amount of love will keep it around if we don’t choose it” 😭

I looooove the heavy outro. Not just because it was some arbitrary “not-heavy-into-surprise-heavy” moment, but it really felt like almost a kind of narrative shift. The latter half of the track feels so hopeful, and you really feel like the album trilogy is going to end on a largely positive note (with Euclid kind of acting as an epilogue), and then just this plot twist of slapping you in the face with this sonically anguished and doom-ish ending.

There's an old country song called "the ride" by david allan coe, back before "the infamous song" came out. There's a verse where he was asked by hank williams if he could make folks feel what he feels inside. Vessel does that. It's almost like a once in a lifetime talent, and I'm glad i get to see it.

I haven’t managed to stop playing this track to get into the rest yet! I think a few would have heard it at traffic light stops! They’re as versatile and captivating as Queens Bohemian Rhapsody with all their changes back in the day. To bring in elements from other songs was soooo good and really was the epic album ending, with Euclid being the end of the trilogy, not adding spoilers though for that assumption!

Okay i thought the same thing about it being very bohemian rhapsody-esque… groundbreaking
